Charming, Relaxing, and did I mention Location?! Originally built in 1940, with the heart-pine walls, floors & ceilings still intact. Quaint "wavy board"/live edge timber exterior from local sawmill. 2BR/1BA. Fully furnished including those inviting rockers on the perfect front porch (with cedar railings by local artisan Jeff Rymer). 2-car carport. Property plumbing and wiring updated during a remodel in 2004. Great yard including what is perhaps the prettiest native holly tree in Mentone!
What makes this place so great is how easy it is to walk next door to the market if I need anything. I also love that I can walk to and from dinner if I choose.
There are multiple options for coffee in the mornings. There is a coffee maker for traditional coffee grounds (medium or coarse) and also a Keurig option for K-Cups. Coffee grounds and K-Cups are not always provided so we recommend bringing your own.
The carport is equipped with a Tesla High Power Wall Connector for Tesla Electric Vehicles.

Excellent host with lightning fast response to any questions we had before and once during our stay. For our trip we really wanted to be in "downtown" Mentone and this was exactly what we needed.
This is the second time we have stayed here and we both love it . If you’re looking for a cozy weekend getaway this is it . We are looking forward to staying again thanks .
The property was very conveniently located and close to everything. Everything was very clean and organized. The property manager was prompt and very helpful. We will definitely stay again!
I stayed in this cabin for a couple days and it felt so cozy. It was very clean and was stocked with anything we would need away from home. It’s located right next to Mentone Market who has the best pizza ever and amazing service. The cabin was in the perfect spot close to so many different things in Mentone. I will definitely be staying here again!
Conveniently located ito sites around Mentone. The Host, Weasley accommodated additional days allowing my wife to join. The home is very clean. Its rustic nature fits in with the mountain surroundings.
It was very restful. Would be extremely helpful to have TV instructions. When turned on and a program was selected, the TV went black. Front porch needs sweeping and spider webs removed. The home was great.

I currently live in Huntsville, AL where I work full time. I am a Cloud Automation Engineer (Computer/Tech stuff! haha). The photo above is of a quick hike to Desoto Falls, less than 10 minutes from the cabin. I love to travel and fell in love with Mentone because of it's great food, friendly people, and natural beauty. Also, because it is not a very far drive from home. I am an Alabama Native.
Why they chose this property
I took a trip to Mentone in the winter of 2018-2019 and enjoyed it so much that I decided to explore getting a property there. When I got home I saw that this property had just listed and I was already in love with the location and the front porch so I decided to look into it. Fast forward to now and I am a happy owner of my own little getaway that I look forward to sharing with others.
