The Space:
The Sand Swept at The Dune Cottages is a recently built stand-alone southern cottage centrally located in downtown Charleston. Within a short walking distance of King St. and nestled in the charming Cannonborough and Elliotborough neighborhood guests are sure to enjoy diverse dining options and exceptional experiences. Truly a unique stay unlike any other downtown, enjoy the privacy and coziness of a cottage with the city at your doorstep.

The Sand Swept at the Dune cottages accommodates up to 9 guests between 3 bedrooms and 3 baths.

Guest Access:
Each Town & Island Co. unit is equipped with coded lock and unique codes that are changed regularly. You will receive all important check-in information 3 days prior to arrival.

Early check-in or late check-out requests are evaluated and granted on a case-by-case basis. We offer a luggage storage space with a coded lock to the rear of the blue building at the front of the property (56 A & B) for all Blue Haven and Dune Cottages guests to use as needed.

The Neighborhood:
Cannonborough Elliotborough draws young professionals and students from nearby colleges to its restored, wood-fronted houses. King, Cannon, and Spring streets, running through the leafy area, are dotted with indie boutiques, vintage stores, and bakeries. Trendy eateries serve up everything from comforting Southern fare to Mediterranean cuisine, and Upper King Street has hip bars for craft beer and house cocktails

Getting Around:
Located in the heart of the Cannonborough and Elliotborough neighborhood, upper King St. and the Charleston peninsula are at your doorstep. Town & Island Co. is now happy to offer, through partnership with The Wonderer, all guests 25 and up access to Charleston’s premier global-inspired lifestyle club. This 2-acre private membership club nestled in downtown Charleston is a modern oasis offering resort-style amenities and a Bali-Tulum-inspired atmosphere unparalleled on the peninsula.

Refresh and relax at the Jr. Olympic pool complete with pool-side cabanas or savor the onsite eateries offering breakfast, lunch, dinner, and trendy cocktails. Guests can also enjoy an indoor gym and fitness studio with daily classes, a recovery room full of spa therapies, private and shared workspaces, live music, and an active calendar of social events.

Once you confirm your reservation at The Wonderer, you will receive a link to book your time to visit the campus. Please note, all fitness classes and ticketed events are offered based on availability and may come at an additional cost.

Each Dune Cottage unit comes with two assigned on-site parking spots adjacent to the building. While theft is rare Charleston is a city and we encourage guests to ensure their cars are locked and all valuables have been removed.

Town & Island Co. welcomes all our furry companions. There is a $75 non refundable pet fee. You are responsible to inform us you are traveling with your pet(s), so we can add this charge to your booking. Please note: If upon check out, we see evidence of an unregistered pet, the $75 pet fee will be taken out of your SD authorization hold.
We ask guests traveling with their pets to not allow them on any furniture to maintain the quality and cleanliness of our human centered spaces. **no pets on furniture and beds**

This place was perfect for our family. Two adult couples and another adult single. Plenty of room, great amenities, kitchen was well appointed to cook meals. Really clean. Would stay here again.

Safe, clean, quiet, pet friendly. What else could you ask for? Loved the location and took several walks downtown while we were there. So much space, appreciated the minimalistic decor with warmth and beauty coming from window treatments, furniture, and light fixtures. Lacked nothing we needed! We will be back!

Charming Charleston Cottage
House was spotless and well equipped. Host communication was excellent. It’s a cozy charming place with a cabin like ambiance. Neighborhood is a bit shabby in spots but very walkable to King Street. On site parking was great and property very neat. Overall a great choice.
