Great bit of real Maine
A week with extended family here was exactly what we hoped for (despite imperfect weather). With plenty of inside space and a huge kitchen it held our large group with room to spare on the rainy days. When the sun was out we paddled on the river, swam in the lake, and drove to some of the great coastal towns close by for the classic Maine oceanside experience. Wonderful slice of downeast rural life!

Comfortable Traditional Maine House
Seven of us—grandma, son, daughter, grandchildren—spent two lovely weeks in this comfortable home easily accessible to Damariscotta Lake and Park. Returning visitors, we drove to our favorite places both on the coast and inland but also spent time relaxing in the house and on the grounds. The weather, which varied from overcast and rainy to warm and sunny, did not disrupt our days. The many fans available in the upstairs bedrooms made sleeping comfortable on a few hot nights. We cooked in the well-stocked kitchen and on the outdoor grill and roasted marshmallows over the fire pit. Our only complaint, which everyone in Maine shared this summer, was the unusual number of mosquitoes. A collection of bug spray was provided.

Ideal Family Home
Great house with lots of room for all 10 of us. Close to lots of places and in a quiet neighborhood. Very accommodating owners who answered any questions quickly and have the home well stocked. Glad I chose this home for our family vacation.

We are the Macs. My husband grew up coming to Damariscotta area where his grandparents grew up in Damariscotta Mills. At the start of COVID, Mad Dog, my husband's father, passed away after a long health battle and we took over his home. Since Spring of 2020, we have lovingly put in the work to make endless updates to the home. We also welcomed two kids into our life, and found ourselves at peace in Maine during a time of chaos and unknown. We hope you enjoy your time in Maine as much as we do! Explore, taste, touch, chat, and love.
