Disappointment - too long for resolution
Air conditioner was not working. It was 88 inside when we arrived in the middle of the night. There was a nice breeze with door and window open, but a lot of outside noise in the parking lot and on the beach, loud music, loud voices, even a loud disagreement. The unit had not been cleaned and sanitized when we arrired at 12:30 a.m. Saturday moring even though we had a 4:00 p.m. Friday check in scheduled. Cleaning crew came in Saturday moring and did their cleaning. It didn’t change the fact that I had to put sheets on the bed and clean the bathroom when we arrived. No air conditioner made it impossible to stay inside and be comfortable during the day and unbearable to sleep at night. You can only sit on the beach so long. No maintenance person came on Saturday to check the AC unit. Sunday we were offered a unit several miles down the beach at 7: 17 a.m. at no additional cost to us. We were skeptical if it would be better by this time but we agreed. However it took until 7 p.m. for us to get access to the unit. We lost an entire vacation day waiting on someone to make it happen. Unacceptable. This was our first time to use Vbro/Vacasa. At this time, I'm not sure if we will use them again or not. We did have a nice week once settled. But the first 48 hours of our vacation added stresses that we didn't anticpate or appreciate. There seems to be a disconnect between the people you contact with problems and the local people that can actually assist you. Not sure why that is.
