Stunning Modern Downtown House w/ Wood Stove + Hot Tub

Stay at the Base Camp House in the heart of downtown Mount Shasta! After a day adventuring on the trails, slopes, mountains, or lakes, celebrate with great food, a new hot tub & the full mountain town experience staying in a modern house remodel on the historic main street! Walk to everything downtown including outdoor gear shops, coffee shops, bars, and restaurants or pick up fresh organic food and craft a meal in the stocked kitchen.

GROUPS WITH 6 OR MORE GUESTS HAVE ACCESS TO BASEMENT.

Our home can support up to 8 guests and their party will have access to all the main floor amenities, including the fabulous hot tub on the back patio. The main floor includes a bedroom with a queen bed, laundry in the hallway, a full bathroom with a tub and shower stocked with supplies, another half bedroom with 2 bunk beds with a double and a twin on each, a living room with a couch, ottoman (with games inside) and TV, a dining room table, and a stocked kitchen ready for you to cook a favorite dish.

DOWNSTAIRS ACCESS: Bookings with 6 guests or more automatically get access to the basement. It’s newly remodeled with a queen bed, full kitchenette, full bathroom, small dining area, and TV. If you have less than 6 guests but still want to book the basement, message us (inquiry) and we will walk you through reserving the basement for your stay.

PARKING: There is space for one vehicle in the driveway and then street parking after that. We share a driveway with our neighbor behind the house. If you park in the driveway, please do not block the garage. Pull up and to the right so the neighbor can get out. You can also park on the street when it’s NOT snowing. If it’s snowing, park your second vehicle on a nearby side street (off S Mount Shasta Blvd).

Bathroom was in really bad shape. Shower needs to be deep cleaned or replaced. There was mold inside the shower. Towel hanger was falling off the wall, I called and they were aware of the issue. Above the kitchen vent has old grease spots, and the vent had debris that could fall into cooked food. The cooking pans were in poor shape. Back yard needs cleaning. We didn’t even try to use the hot tub because there was spiderwebs all over. Great location Easy to enter

Almost everything is great, kitchen is well equipped, airconditioning works (but more on that later). Host is very reponsive, when I asked about hair dryers, someone came in and put one in the bathroom the next day! Location is superb.But a few small things:The bathroom ventilation fan upstairs is quite dated and rather loud. Since upstairs is where most beds are, it gets annoying for early sleepers when a bunch of people are lining up for showers. The airconditioner in the bunk bed room is also showing its age and makes noises whenever the fan starts whirring. In comparison, the downstairs ventilation fan and airconditioner are new and quiet. But the upstairs is where most of the beds /humans are.The bedding/towels are cheap-feeling polyester. I find that alright for the towels (dries fast) but the bedding does get hot at night since, well, polyester. But it's otherwise great value, especially if you have a large group of people. And this is just of August 2025, owner might have done something with the appliances since then!

Great Place

We had 3 generations of family and it was perfect with the downstairs everyone had their own space. Plenty of kitchen essentials and bath towels. Plenty of seating and great outdoor space. We would definitely stay again when in the area.

Beautiful Property and Location

Such a beautiful, small town experience. We were going for some a late season snow and actual got snowfall in town on our second day! The home had everything we needed, the hot tub was awesome!

Loved the location and such a cute property. The floors could use a good cleaning, and the outside patio as well. The hot tub lid (device that helps you get the lid off) was broke. Walkable to downtown and the host was wonderful.
