Great place for group

The place is perfect for large group. We didn’t have time to use the private beach but we really appreciate our stay.

Private City Stay

My family and I had a comfortable weekend away in Biddeford. The house is private but also close to everything. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely home for a large group

Very nice classic old country house. Has many amenities including a fire pit, radio, several TV’s, and being near the water. We are 7 people from 3 generations and every one of us found something we enjoyed with this beautiful home!

Friend getaway

We had a lovely stay with Ian being a responsive host. The home had everything we needed and was clean. The home is a short walk to restaurants, coffee and bars. The neighborhood is lacking and not the best area. But we did feel safe and didn’t even see another neighbor.

Biddeford Get Away

Our stay was just right with enough beds for our adult family. We really enjoyed the kitchen stocked with pots, pans, cutting boards etc so we could cook meals and eat in. We enjoyed the large dining room for meals and playing games. The location on the River and small foot bridge to the sand bar was nice for a quick swim and morning yoga. The picnic table was perfect for a tye dying project. A short drive to Portland, Wells, Biddeford Pool and York made this property a good spot for us. We enjoyed coffee at Elements (thank you Ian) and the interior decorating store, “White Door.” Both are a must if you stay here.

What you see is not what it is

I’ll try my best to be objective about our stay: Positives: 1: The host left a handwritten welcome card, couple of things about the property and he being a superhost. 2: Parking for 2 cars 3: Towels & Toiletries Things that could be better: 1: Damp smell all over the house right after you open the door. Its feels old and dingy with uneven floors. 2: Bathrooms don’t have locks! This is a simple fix. 3: A better / new couch would be nice. The Couch in the living room is very dusty and by it’s condition, should have been disposed by now. 4: There were ants in the pull out bed upstairs! There were also ants near dining. 5: Understand its a pet friendly property, but there was a lot of pet hair on bedsheets, blankets. a good vaccum cleaner should help. 6: The ‘Beach’ access over the new ramp is good. But it’s filled with broken branches and looks unkempt for someone to sit / put a chair and relax. 7: The neighborhood where this property is located feels a bit shady and insecure. All of us felt this. (Understand the host can’t do much about it but when we pay twice as much as a premium Hotel for one night, guess our expectation was different) To summarize, this place needs a solid revamp in almost everything. We asked for a 11am checkout instead of 10am so we can go to downtown for breakfast and then pack our bags but the host promptly rejected it saying they have same day turn over. No worries. The cleaner was outside at 9:45 AM.
