My parents, two children, husband, and I stayed at the dancing bears property for three nights in October. We enjoyed downtown Elijay, local apple farms, and spending downtime at “home”.
We absolutely loved our week at Dancing Bears! It was a short walk away from Fish Trap park that we visited daily. The cabin was so cozy and spacious! We loved the huge fenced in back yard. Elisabeth was a great host and so communicative! We can’t wait to come back!
My family and our dog enjoyed our weekend stay. The kids especially enjoyed the upstairs loft area and games in the basement. It was really convenient to have a fenced yard so our dog could enjoy the fire pit with us without having to worry about her trying to chase the deer that we saw.
We had a multigenerational group and the cabin layout with 3 floors was perfect. We saw deer from the cabin and on our trips in and out of the neighborhood. Cabin was very well appointed.
Great property nestled in the mountains of Georgia. Beds were big, linens were clean and there were lots of blankets (needed for the cold spell we experienced.) It was a short drive to Blue Ridge & Helen. Can't wait to come back and enjoy the mountains when it isn't so cold.
We had a wonderful stay! The house has everything you need, and was very welcoming.
We searched for a property with the fenced in yard to bring our dog, the only downside was when we got there the property was one gate short of being fully enclosed. I asked the owner about a way to enclose it and she was very helpful and pointed me in the direction of a baby gate in the house.
Overall, wonderful place and it is dog friendly.
The property was a wonderful place to stay with the family. We have children of all ages & there was something for each. The home was clean & tidy & check in was a breeze. Would only suggest possibly a crockpot and a pitcher for drinks to be added. The outside fire pit was wonderful at night. The kids loved the lighting bugs and making smores. The presents of deer was neat! They are literally everywhere! Over all it was a lovely stay! We all had such a nice time!
We booked this trip in celebration of my husbands birthday as well as to look for properties for us to move to Northern Georgia. The house was very clean and very well appointed. The host thought of everything!! Forgot your toothbrush not a problem. They had soap and shampoo and everything you would need if you brought kids. We brought our furbabies and they had special covers on the couch and clean bowls for them as well as a pooper scooper. They had water bottles in the fridge as well as numerous snacks. Driveway is a little steep but my husband figured it out and it was no issue. Great stay!
