We stayed in Mule Deer Cabin for a Yellowstone getaway. The cabin was located outside the west gate and in a very peaceful small neighborhood. They thought of everything and we had all the amenities of home. We will definitely stay here again.

Hi, Thank you for taking time out of your day to write us a review. We are happy you enjoyed your stay at the Mule Deer Cabin. We hope you will consider us again in future adventures here in West Yellowstone. The best time to see some snow as well is in December- April.
This property is amazing. There were no surprises, it is “as advertised.” Our family of four (adult children) had plenty of room to spread out and relax after hiking and exploring in Yellowstone National Park. Hank’s Chop House in West Yellowstone provided a delicious meal out. (We did most meals in the cabin which was fully equipped. We would love to return in the future.

Stayed for a week with family of 4. Home is extremely clean and well kept. Very well stocked appliances, kitchenware, etc. Comfortable and accommodating. Everything in great working condition. Clean and comfortable bedding. Wifi could use an upgrade, but overall 10/10. Thank you!

Liked: Cleanliness, communication
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Not what I expected for price
Pros: convenient to town, comfortable beds well equipped kitchen, nice decor.
Cons: in subdivision not secluded like images seem, property is overall much smaller than images appear, unable to use upstairs TV due to no remote. Road to property was very difficult to navigate with multiple pot holes. Small cars will have difficulty. View is limited due to neighboring homes.
Neutral: Also several roof leaks throughout the home likely due to recent heavy snow/rain. Owner was contacted and had it patched temporarily.

Jessica, Sorry to here your stay did not meet your expectations. This is the first time in over 9 years we have received less than five stars(only one 4 star) Nonetheless, I'm sorry about the roof leak, but as you mentioned, the storms you experienced were abnormal. As for the size, views and proximity of our home in a "subdivsion", we like to be able to get to our home in the winter and this requires being part of a neighborhood of 25 homes on 1000 acres. As many others do, please make a note to ask the owner for a more detailed description if these things are important to you. The views on our website were not fabricated! Final comment, my rates are below market.
We loved our stay! Spent three days at this property while we visited Yellowstone National Park. Location was convenient to the park's west entrance. Home was well stocked with all essentials, including bear spray! It was great to have coolers to pack our lunch and drinks for the day. Thanks, Mike, for sharing your home with us.
Our cabin was very close to town and the west entrance to YNP. The cabin was furnished with everything you could need for a trip to Yellowstone. It was unseasonably hot when we were there and the cabin had air conditioning, but the upper rooms stayed warm during the night. There were ceiling fans to help with air movement. Overall, we had a great stay in the cabin.
Five Stars! The cabin was in a fantastic location close to West Yellowstone and the West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park - which was perfect for our stay. The house is well furnished and stocked with everything our family needed to truly enjoy our stay. Enough room to relax in the lower level family room and the top floor loft, as well as plenty of room in the bedrooms to accommodate our family of five. It offered amazing views of the surrounding mountains, and was private enough for the whole family to peacefully relax after long days touring Yellowstone. It was a benefit being so close to West Yellowstone which allowed easy access to stores, supermarkets, and restaurants. The kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast, bagged lunches for the park, and dinner a few nights (having a grill was awesome). Above all, the residence was very clean, had great hot water for showers, and a good internet connection (which is hard in mountain areas). All in all it was an amazing stay and contributed to our overall once in a lifetime trip to Yellowstone!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lazy Acres! The house was charming and rustic as described and just minutes from town and the entrance to Yellowstone. All the amenities of home were provided and then some! Mike was easily accessible for any questions we had and responded quickly. We highly recommend a stay at this property.
Thanks for sharing your home with us!
We had a fantastic stay. The view of the mountains from the 2-story windows was breathtaking. The cabin was perfect, having everything we needed for a great family vacation. We would highly recommend! Thank you to our hosts for sharing their home!
The house and location was great. It was very quiet and peaceful so we could just relax after a long day of hiking. Short ride into the park and down the road from the rodeo and horseback riding at Diamond Ranch which we loved! The house had everything we needed and very clean and comfortable for the 5 of us! We would definitely come back!
This property was amazing. Mike takes great care of the place. So nice for the kids to have their own space and to cook meals. Well stocked kitchen, nice to do laundry and relax with gorgeous sunsets. Super convenient to town and park. Mike was very responsive to answer questions before we arrived. We really appreciated the opportunity to stay here. Was simply perfect for our Yellowstone base camp!
