Everything we could ask for in a rental, so close to App State! Outdoor space was lovely and the layout provided some nice separation. Fireplace and hot tub were appreciated and well used! We will definitely come back next year for Grad school graduation!

We were looking for a quiet weekend away from home -- though the mountains would be a change. House was very clean and lovely. Enjoyed the fire-pit and games. Family had a great weekend!!
Thank you

Thank you so much for sharing. Our staff is extremely motivated to provide the very best guest vacation rental experience possible. We love it when a guest shares even a small part of their experience. Again thank you and we hope to see you again soon.
If you’re skiing at App or visiting Blowing Rock, the location can’t be beat. Right outside the front gates made for the perfect spot. Our soon to be 5 year old appreciated all the additional entertainment between shuffle board and the foosball table. Only downsides for us were the cold lower level (which they were kind enough to offer a plug in heater) and the beds. I am most likely on the pickier side when it comes to mattresses, but all the ones I tried were very firm foam mattresses and left me with a stiff back every morning.

Thanks for the constructive feedback, we hope to have you as our guest again soon!
Cute little cabin at the base of App Ski Mountain was perfect for our long weekend getaway for skiing! Communication was great, check in/check out process was super easy. Only suggestion would be to check the kitchen essentials (no cookie sheets, no mixing bowls or any bowls other than cereal bowls?) and the downstairs was difficult to keep warm with only space heaters. We brought extra blankets that we added to the two beds but the freezing temps proved challenging. Otherwise, super cute and clean and made for an easy and fun stay. Would recommend.

Great location but the place could use some attention
My family and parents stayed at Crazy Cabin over the holidays for almost two weeks. Since we were here in the winter for a while we did a lot of cooking and understood the heating components of the cabin as I read in other reviews. The kitchen amenities were below the 'basic' necessities, there wasn't a baking dish, cookie sheet, a proper can opener, and the pans were all scratched. If you're not cooking then you don't need to worry about these things. The electric fireplace was great and you barely need the heat on for the upstairs loft to be 30 degrees warmer than the middle living area. When it was 20* outside we left a window open for the upstairs guests to sleep. The basement/lower level doesn't have heat at all, just a space heater. This was okay for milder nights but when it snowed it was pretty chilly down there.
The location is great if you're utilizing the App ski; we only did ice skating with the kids and we could walk there in a few minutes from the house which was nice. The view of the balcony was perfect for the NYE fireworks. Speaking of the balcony, there were about 4 empty propane tanks we had to sift through before we found one to use on the outdoor fireplace.
The place was decently cleaned, we found an old sock and eye mask under the couch and behind a bedroom TV so it wasn't thoroughly cleaned. The home in general was clean. The location is great between Blowing Rock and Boone.

Thank you for sharing. We are grateful that you took the time to share your experiences. Please know that we have addressed the items you mentioned regarding cookware. Our apologies for the empty propane tanks, they are supposed to be removed during the pre arrival inspection. We are happy to hear that barring these issues it appears that you enjoyed the home and the location was convenient for you and your party. Its our fondest hope that a revisit is in the works and that its sooner rather than later.
