Favorite of our recent rentals

We are basically condo hoppers spending 5 months traveling each year . This is one of our recent favorites because it is so homey and comfy. The manager/owner did an amazing job setting it up with many special touches. I would seriously move in if they’d let me. We loved Durango and the location is perfect for getting anywhere. Parking was easy even though the street was busy and just a single flight up to the unit. Kitchen was very well stocked. We hope to be back!

Beautiful and accurate listing

I accidentally went to the wrong unit but the owner was understanding and the rest of the stay was uneventful. Flawlessly clean unit with amazing presentation. Property owner communicated in short time whenever needed and have no complaints. Would stay again 100 percent.

Wonderful stay at Down By The River property in Durango, CO

My wife and I had an extraordinary stay for a week at Laurie's property (2nd floor of a duplex). The street is adjacent to the west bank of the Animas River, with the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad tracks running right along side. Spectacular views of the river, the trains and the surrounding mesas and mountains. Great location to serve as a base to explore all that the greater Durango area has to offer, which is a lot! The property is exactly as advertised - clean, quiet and well-appointed. We mostly cooked in during our stay, and everything we could need was already in the kitchen. The two bedrooms in the unit are spacious, private, and cozy. We loved the tub bath for end-of-day's-adventures soaks. Did I mention the views?! Sometimes we just shared a cup of tea and stared out the front windows at all the beauty outside. Walks! The Animas River path that runs through town is easily accessible and well worth the time. Downtown Durango is a healthy walk or short drive from the location. We were fortunate to get an early season snow storm in late November, which coated everything in a lovely powder white. The plows were out early the next day to clear all the streets for us to get out to the airport. Overall, I cannot recommend this property enough. We are now thinking about moving to the Durango area because we had such a good experience. Highly recommend Laurie's Down By The River!

This property has been a labor of love from the beginning. With much help from family and friends we have given this home the TLC it needed to become a comfortable, peaceful place to enjoy life. The sight and sound of the river is a constant reminder of nature's majesty and the importance of being in the moment with what we love.

The river view is the one of the best aspects of this home. The central location is another unique aspect with walking distance to grocery store, river trail, recreation center and local eateries.
