Welcome to our retreat in the woods! This home is beautifully finished and very cozy. Everything you need to feel like a home away from home Near Raystown Lake, with two nearby boat launches; Tatman Run and Snyder’s Run. This home has 2 private bedrooms each with a queen bed, one bedroom with a futon and twin over full bunk, this room also makes a great game room, there is also an additional loft with two twin beds. Outdoor fireplace with deck. Come and get away from it all!

Cute cottage

In general we had a nice stay. We liked the open concept for the kitchen and living room. Living room sofa was super comfortable. But unfortunately the mattresses in both bedrooms were not that comfortable and really need to be replaced. The linens were provided but for one of the rooms the sheets were labeled wrong and instead of queen they were twin. So the first night we didn't have sheets to use. We found out later there were extra in the shed. Management did bring us new sheets the next day but they unfortunately they weren't much better because the elastic was so old on them they kept coming off the bed. I would also suggest air conditioning units in each room. You can't shut the bedroom doors at night because there are only 2 air conditioning units, one in the loft area and the other in the newer addition. It was in a good location to Raystown lake, which is why we chose this house.

Great place

We loved this place, the space, and the location. We didn’t love that the AC wasn’t in the main bedrooms. The bedrooms were warm at night, but we made it work.

Beautiful Setting

Our 8-person extended family enjoyed the beautiful wooded setting for our 3-night stay. The property was clean and generally well-equipped. Internet is spotty/weak. When we arrived, 3 of 6 kitchen bulbs were out; this was remedied by communication with the property manager. With 8 of us and no dishwasher, more than 1 dish towel should have been provided; there were no potholders. We learned just before arrival that the firepit chairs in the property photo were not included; luckily, we had local family members who could pack folding chairs for us to use, as enjoying time by the firepit in the evening was a highlight of our stay.

When hunting season is in session, you can find all sorts of gaming from deer too geese. Just imagine yourself gathered with your family enjoying the beautiful snowfall during a holiday family vacation. With Skiing Lodges an hour away you can work the slopes in a winter wonderland.
