When we arrived we were quite tired, and therefore relaxed and read all about the loons. The next day we were ready to greet them! We swam, made pigs in a blanket on a stick, went canoeing and otherwise had a fabulous time. Thank You for opening your home us.
Great quiet location on a quiet lake. Typical New England camp. Looking at the negative reviews, i think they aren't familiar with seasonal lake houses. The house was comfortable. Right on the water. End of a dead end road. Very quiet, perfect location to unwind and decompress. I would go back, for sure.
we loved being right on the lake (pond), and the quietude of the surroundings, and the feeling of being immersed in nature. the dwelling itself is a little bit jerry-rigged-- a fishing cabin with decent beds.... with a little bit of TLC (maybe some carpentry around the water heater in the bedroom; maybe not having a ceiling fan right next to the kitchen counter (ouch on the head); maybe stocking more than the barest of necessities-- would make it a 5-star!
I booked the cabin for the days when a tropical storm hit. We lost power but still had fun playing board games and cooking pizza on the grill. The host allowed us to check out late on our last day to enjoy the sunshine. The kids went swimming and we made S'mores. A great time was had by all.
We have stayed on Toddy Pond before. Love the pond. Dogs liked it. For us that's huge. We didn't realize how much further it was on that side from Surry. Us bad. Nice visit. Friendly neighboring camps. Always a plus.
The cabin had everything we could possibly need. The lake was amazing for swimming, fishing and just taking in the view. Night skies were incredible. Thank you to the hosts, Karen and Mark, for sharing this little gem with us.
The cabin was great. The peacefulness of everything was wonderful. You do definitely need some sort of SUV to get down to the property. Our time was great swimming, fishing and relaxing. The dog loved it too. Thank you
We were looking for a simple camp on a lake, and that is exactly what this is. The highlight was looking out over the lake from the table inside or on the deck -- it is almost like being in a boat. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen well supplied with whatever we needed to make simple meals. Lovely spot.
This property is exactly what we were looking for. Relaxed , quiet, plenty of things to do and lots of places to see near by. A very beautiful part of Maine.

Beautiful spot, but…
Absolutely stunning location! Directly on the lake and no neighbors in sight. Very private, and it was so nice to have our dog-ter along as well!
House needs some serious TLC, however. There was a leak in the bedroom (which was right above our heads), the septic stopped working, and it had to be cleaned before we moved in. The canoe in the listing was very ramshackle, and there were items strewn about the property.
Too bad, because the lake and the property were just beautiful!
Gorgeous Toddy Pond is a very popular summer fun LAKE (quite large), but we enjoyed three very peaceful nights relaxing on the porch just listening to the loons when we weren't swimming off the brand new dock all day long. The camp seems to be on the quiter? side of the lake which was really nice. The house is rustic and homey as you'd expect if you've ever been to an older camp in the North East, but has recent renovations, new windows, toilet, etc and also very clean / not musty or anything.. The common kitchen / living area was spacious enough for us to cook and relax indoors as well w a nice chunk of lake front property naturally well-spaced from the neighbors. Kitchen was well-stocked w the basics and the WiFi worked quite well. The dog LOVED the swimming as there's a good amount of shallow area right in front of the house before a steepish drop off about 12' out so also probably good for smaller children to enjoy the water there too. The adjacent dock area extends further out though into a depth perfect for launching the boat, diving, and more experienced swimmers. The water is very clean and also seemed well-stocked w bass from what I saw some other ppl pulling out (if you want to bring a fishing pole or two). Toddy Pond is centrally located w regards to Rt 01 Belfast and Camden areas, Bangor Int Airport, The beautiful Deer Isle, Blue Hill / Penobscot Bay region, and of course Acadia National Park... All around an hour's drive or so. We had no problem getting anywhere, but just note that camp lies down a pretty long dirt road so SUVs or trucks are suggested. Personally I drive a an older sports car though so just had to drive slow and be mindful of dips and rocks. Owners were very communicative and helpful w any questions - very, very nice ppl all in all. We LOVED it and will hopefully be back again soon. Thanks again for opening up your little slice of heaven to the public, guys. Recommended!!!

What a beautiful property! Nestled in this lovely little spot on the lake. Was amazing to drink coffee on the deck in the early morning, to listening to the wonderful loons all night. 10/10 recommend this property and will be returning in the future!
Absolutely perfect!! Location was amazing. Right on the water. The cabin was clean and welcoming. The check in process was a snap! We would love to stay here again!
Very rustic cabin nestled deep in the woods of Maine. My family and I loved the quiet, natural surroundings . Our dog enjoyed the freedom of the outdoors and swimming in the lake. Would definitely stay there again if the opportunity arises .
This is what we expected and wanted. Quiet. Unfussy. Well-priced. It's your typical Maine camp, keeps the bugs out, room for folks to snooze, AND on the friggin' water. Faces East so you get morning sunlight and afternoon shade. Kitchen allowed us to cook every meal, a gas grill was on the deck and a normal sized fridge with freezer worked well. Yeah, loons are crazy sounding especially when they're 50ft away out the front windows. Boat traffic was few and far off. (6 days, a boat occasionally each day and only two jet-skiis 1/2 mile away.) Coffee on the deck in the morning, an adult appropriate beverage whilst tubing in the afternoon or early evening. Bring binoculars and hiking boots for when you get tired of hanging out on the water. There is great birding in the area as well. Absolutely a great place for a vacation!
If you are looking for a beautiful, quiet spot to relax and don't mind a rustic cabin this is the place for you. We had a wonderful stay and our dogs loved swimming in the lake. We'll be back!
