Atomic Flair & Mid Century Modern Charm

The World Famous ATOMIC FLAIR. This legendary 1961 mid-century modern Alexander home is located in the prestigious Racquet Club Estates area. A lively party house for celebrities in the 60's and since, it hosted Sinatra and Ronald Reagan among others. Boasts an original kidney shaped heated pool (one of the few left) wrapped in cotton candy pink decking, ideal for lounging and enjoying Palm Springs' most desired mountain views. 2BR main house and 1BR separate Casita, each with their own bath.
The space
Three bedrooms, two in the main house and 1 in a private casita. The main master is a King en suite w walk-in shower, second bedroom a Queen with its own hall bathroom. Great living space perfect for 6 guests. Features include full outdoor bar and outdoor dining area. Also a Shasta mobile home perfect for card games, naps, just getting away for a moment.
Other things to note
Heated pool. Set for 80F - nightly upcharge to boost it to 85 or 90.

Most unique vrbo we've ever stayed in.

We had a great 5 day stay in Jamie's Atomic Flair. As soon as we walked in, the kids (and us) were oohing and aahing over the mid-century modern details. There are some great books to read more about MCM and Palm Springs history on the coffee table. It was warmer than expected during our stay, so the pool was enjoyed every day we were there. The pool, in particular, was very clean and didn't smell like pool chemicals at all. The house isn't perfect (it's an authentic MCM home), but nothing distracted from a great stay.

After some 10 years attending the Coachella Festival and staying in Palm Springs for vacations the area's allure was irresistible.

What makes this property unique

When we saw the unique artwork built-in to the property, the gorgeous mountain views from the original kidney shaped pool, we had to have it. It's a very happy and comfortable somewhat zany but eminently practical home.
