Situated near Ottawa Wildlife Preserve, Crane Creek, Magee Marsh, and two marinas, you'll be able to enjoy the many animals and birds indigenous to the area. In May, you can enjoy Bird Week, the largest time of the year for bird watching, at the "Warbler Capitol" of the world. cedar Point, African Safari, and The Jet Express are just a short drive away. This is the perfect place for groups and family vacations.

Quiet loctaion, private little beach area, home was clean and everything needed to cook meals was there. Owner answered any questions quickly and was very friendly.

Cute and Quaint!

Cute little cottage. I wish there was a TV on first floor and more air. The upstairs was beautiful it was just a lot for my hubby to go up and down the steps a lot. It’s more is then the cottage itself. I would recommend it for others!! 😊

Mini-Vacation

Took a 2-day mini vacation with the family. House was very accommodating. Lake view from upstairs was amazing. Tons of sleeping space. Bathroom needs some work, and the kitchen could use some extra counter space. Overall, very pleased. My 11-year-old son caught a 14 inch large mouth bass fishing on shore during the day. The paddle boat works great and was a nice addition. We left some firewood for the next tenants :-)

Wonderful Getaway

We had a great time at the beach house. My daughter and son in law and 3 year old grandson loved the lake and we all enjoyed the peacefulness! The only regret I had is that the haze from the wildfires prevented us from seeing the sunsets and sunrises. But our host was amazing with communication and provided us with everything we needed for cooking family meals, towels, etc. The bathroom could use a little floor work, but it is an older house and is to be expected. And right on the beach, I could not have asked for a better location. We had a blast and will return. Loved it ❤️

This fully remodeled home has been in our family since 1952. It was originally a fishing cottage rented by a hotel that is no longer there. My father was the first person to purchase in the area because he loved to sit at the picnic table and look across the lake at West Sister Island Wildlife Preserve and the lake. I grew up lying on the private part of our beach and floating in the lake catching the suns rays. My husband and I have tried to spend every birthday and anniversary there for the past 30 years . Our children spend many holidays and special occasions boating and water skiing. We now have grandchildren that are the 4th generation to be able to enjoy this wonderful property.

Why they chose this property

Unfortunately, most of our family lives out of state now the same as my husband and I. We don't get to enjoy it as much as we would like to, so we have decided to share it with others hoping they will be able to make the same kind of treasured memories that we have been able to make for the last 70 years.
