About the host

Hosted by Dorothy & Edward Loedding

Host profile image
Dorothy is a 7th generation Vermonter with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Vermont. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Edward is a Vermonter-by-choice, residing in Brandon since 2001. Their love of this beautiful state runs deep. Edward earns his living as a visual artist, with hundreds of collectors spanning the globe as Dorothy handles the business side of their relationship. Their home and studio are on the same street as The Gallery at Six, just a short block away. Stop by for a visit to see the studio where Edward works, or just talk about the many things this charming corner of Vermont has to offer.

Why they chose this property

For years, many of Edward's collectors would ask "why don't you have a gallery in Vermont? We want to visit!" In 2015, this property became available, so they purchased it and began the task of completely gutting this 1880 house and converting it into a world-class art showcase and luxurious guest accommodations. The idea of combining a gallery with a guest suite was born of a passion for sharing both their artwork and the beautiful places that inspires it.

What makes this property unique

"Home" is a word that is profoundly important to Dorothy and Edward. It is a place where we gather, celebrate, relax, love and laugh. With this understanding, being at home with artwork means being in a private, comfortable space where you can take the time to develop a more intimate art experience than you can in a public gallery or museum. The Gallery at Six is unique in its ability to offer this type of experience.
Add in luxurious accommodations in a historic home, situated in a quintessential Vermont village, surrounded by gorgeous mountains, lakes and streams, and you're sure to create memories that will last a lifetime!
