We had a great stay. We only needed a refresh of towels once and they responded quickly. They also fixed the air conditioning the same day when we had an issue. Really great home for a small family, the dogs enjoyed being on long leashes in the large yard.
Beautiful location! Clean and spacious accommodations for my family of four. Extremely responsive hosts! Only suggestion would be a new and longer shower curtain in the bathroom as it was difficult to not leak water on the bathroom floor. Otherwise we had a great stay!Lake Dunmore and the surrounding hiking was amazing!
It was a wonderful location for our family to stay!! It was very comfortable , spacious , and clean. And We were able to visit with our family in Vermont.
We stayed in the Dunsnore Suite, a 2 BR apartment on the first floor of a very clean and well-maintained inn with great views of Lake Dunsmore. Highly recommended! Dog-friendly!,

We traveled to Salisbury to catch the end of leaf peeping season with my father, husband, infant son and dog. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the rental, which accommodated our group perfectly. We enjoyed a few lovely evenings and perfect fall days and hope to return again!
Farm house was delightful. Rooms were spacious. Views were breathtaking.
Quiet and relaxing. Rooms are was more spacious than expectedly. The Paddlers Pub across the street has the best pizza in New England! Lots of fun. Views are spectacular and my little corgi came with us. Great stay
This was a great place for us to stay and celebrate my son's graduation from college. The front porch was wonderful for gathering, and there was a dining room table for 8, so family came for supper. The restaurant and beach/marina across the street was an added bonus, and we rented a pontoon boat one evening which was fun. The house is in a busy area (right next to a campground), but it was quiet and the hosts were wonderful.
We love staying in this home. It’s spacious and clean. It feels like a home away from home. We get to enjoy the lake and surrounding areas. We had so much fun. . We love saying hello to Butch and Curtis each year too. They are so helpful and friendly. We look forward to visiting every year.
We were up for the weekend for Midd graduation and had 5 people stay at this lovely house (the 2 college kids slept on the pull out couch.) It was an easy drive back and forth to Middlebury and the location is where our daughter crewed so we were somewhat familiar with this beautiful lake area. Our favorite thing was hanging out on the porch! Owners were super responsive and helpful, highly recommend.
Nice property- very comfortable for the 2 of us (and would have had plenty of room for a few more). Great location across the street from the lake, able to rent Kayaks on-site, short distance from hiking trails and Middlebury. Was a nice getaway around a day of moving our daughter into her UVM dorm (Burlington about an hr away), and would definitely stay there again. Great response time and communication by/from Stu and Curtis for anything that came up.
The cottage is set up beautifully, allowing privacy for family members. Great porch facing the lake. Well stocked. They even had a pet bed!
Things were pretty quiet as Vt. schools were not out yet. Teenager would have liked a little more going on, but the boats and board were available, and the forts were not far away.

Liked: Cleanliness, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Misleading Listing Was A Little Disappointed
The pictures make the listing look nicer than it is. We had a hard time figuring out how to get in and when we did I was let down. On the plus side, the space is very large and certain areas are nice. On the down side, the sleeper sofas are unusably old and bad and broken. There were only 3 blankets and we had to sleep with towels the first night because we had no one to call since we got in after 5 pm. I would recommend this place if they replace all the sleeper sofas, add real curtains in the bedroom because there are bright lights all around, and disclose that it is part of an RV park where people may be outside and loud at night.
This was our first VRBO experience and it could not have gone any better. The rental was beautiful and exactly as described...we liked it so much we stayed an extra day--which the owners were completely fine with our impromptu change. Convenient to everything...Brandon, Middlebury, Vergennes--you name it. Our trip and stay could not have been any better. We are already discussing our next trip to VT....and yes we'll be staying here. I'd give 10 stars if I could.
Thanks to the Waterhouses team on such a fine rental.
This property was perfect for our trip to Vermont. Quiet with a nice view of the lake and the front porch was a great place to relax. Perfect location as we wanted to wander around the state. Hosts were great and accommodating.
The property is in a great location, right across the street from Lake Dunmore. It was a beautiful fall weekend so the views were wonderful. We encountered a couple of issues, but the property owner was very accessible and he fixed them as soon as possible.
Two couples that are best friends and only get to see each other a couple times a year. This place was stunning! The high ceilings in the back bedroom with the huge stone fireplace, felt like a mountain retreat! The front bedroom was huge! Plenty of space for us all to hang out on the couches and take in the scenic view of the lake while the snow fell. 10/10
