About this property
Uptown Designer Home l 3 bedroom l 3 blocks to Magazine St
Classic New Orleans architecture reimagined for comfort, with curated touches. Furnished by a local designer with a mix of contemporary and vintage pieces, with a collection of local artwork and literature to enjoy. Safe, convenient location that places so many Nola favorites at your fingertips. This 3 bed, 2.5 bath home has hardwood floors, high ceilings, marble kitchen and bath, and upper balcony. Laundry too! Easy drive to FQ and Tulane, walk to streetcar and Magazine St.
Uptown is a wonderful place to enjoy New Orleans like a local. This house is between Magazine Street (filled with boutique shops and incredible restaurants) and Tchoupitoulas Street (home to many new breweries/distilleries and Tipitinas music club). The neighborhood is filled with amazing architecture including creole cottages and camelback shotgun houses and the mansions of St. Charles Avenue are only a short walk away.
Distances to some of our favorites:
Audubon Zoo: 2.9 miles (about 10 minutes by car)
La Petite Grocery Restaurant: .5 miles (8 blocks)
Hansen's SnoBliz: .7 miles (10 blocks)
Tipitinas: .5 miles (6 blocks)
Port Orleans Brewery: .3 miles (3 blocks)
Lilette: .4 miles (6 blocks)
Streetcar stop / Columns Hotel: .7 miles (10 blocks)
Mardi Gras parade route: .5 miles (6 blocks)
Turkey and the Wolf: 1.5 miles (7 minute drive)
Tulane University: 2.5 miles (8 minute drive)
Saba: 1.7 miles (7 minute drive)
La Boulangerie: .8 miles (11 blocks)
About a 10 minute car ride to the French Quarter and 5 minute car ride to the Garden District.
The house is literally a block away from Nola Distillery, Barracuda tacos, and Mojo Coffeehouse, among other favorites.
Getting Around:
Walk three blocks to Magazine Street and you can stroll all the way to Audubon park in one direction or to the Lower Garden District in the other. Bus routes run along Magazine Street and Tchoupitoulas Street or walk a couple more blocks and take the St. Charles Streetcar, which goes up Carrollton Avenue in one direction and into the French Quarter in the other direction.
