About this property

Cosmic Cabin- Panoramic Blue Ridge Mountain views!

A peaceful Mountain Retreat getaway with breathtaking long-range views of the Blue Ridge Mountains - a Nature's Splendor!
Escape to the heart of the Appalachian wilderness at this enchanting 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom mountain cabin, perched high in Piney Creek, North Carolina, where panoramic vistas of the legendary Blue Ridge Mountains stretch endlessly before you. Tucked away within an exclusive gated community along the pristine New River, this secluded sanctuary offers an unparalleled opportunity to disconnect from the chaos of modern life and rediscover the restorative power of nature's embrace.

Designed with both comfort and connection in mind, this thoughtfully appointed retreat features a king primary suite complete with a full bathroom, providing a private haven for couples seeking solitude. Ascend to the upper level to discover two additional queen bedrooms, perfect for families or friends traveling together, alongside another full bath.

The luxuriously renovated kitchen is equipped for everything from quick breakfasts to elaborate family dinners and both bathrooms have been meticulously redesigned to provide spa-like comfort. Cozy up by the indoor fireplace on chilly evenings, enjoy board games in the game room, or stream your favorites on one of 3 Smart TVs, though many guests find the mountain views far more captivating than any screen.

The true magic, however, awaits beyond the walls. The expansive wraparound deck serves as your front-row seat to nature's daily performance—watch morning mist rise from hidden valleys as birds chirp away while you sip coffee, or witness the sky transform into brilliant oranges and purples while enjoying evening wine. A charming gazebo provides the perfect setting for al fresco dining, complete with a grill for preparing freshly caught trout or regional specialties. Hammocks sway gently, inviting reading your favorite book or afternoon naps accompanied by birdsong and rustling leaves with nature views. As darkness falls, the fire pit becomes the gathering place for storytelling and s'mores, the night skies reveal a dazzling canopy of stars rarely seen in urban environments.

Adventure enthusiasts will appreciate the cabin's prime location for outdoor recreation. The legendary New River—one of the oldest rivers in the world—flows nearby, offering world-class fishing for smallmouth bass and trout. Local outfitters provide tube and kayak rentals for leisurely floats through stunning mountain scenery. Within easy driving distance, New River State Park preserves miles of pristine shoreline and hiking trails, while Grayson Highlands State Park enchants visitors with wild ponies roaming windswept balds above the treeline. Mount Jefferson State Natural Area provides challenging climbs rewarded with 360-degree vistas, and Stone Mountain State Park showcases cascading waterfalls and massive granite domes.

The surrounding region brims with cultural experiences. Cycle the historic Virginia Creeper Trail, a converted railroad bed winding through charming mountain towns. Explore the artistic community of West Jefferson, where galleries, boutiques, and farm-to-table restaurants celebrate Appalachian heritage. Sample award-winning wines at local vineyards or discover craft breweries pushing the boundaries of traditional styles. For equestrian enthusiasts, Appalachian Horseback Riding Adventures offers guided treks through meadows and forests inaccessible by car.

Winter transforms this retreat into a snow-dusted wonderland. The fireplace becomes the centerpiece of cozy evenings spent with hot cocoa and good books. Frozen waterfalls create spectacular ice formations within short hiking distances, while the quiet mountain air carries a profound sense of peace. Writers find inspiration in the solitude, families bond over board games and snowball fights, and couples discover romance in the star-filled silence.

Whether you're planning a romantic getaway, a multigenerational family reunion, a creative retreat, or simply seeking refuge from the demands of daily life, this Blue Ridge cabin offers the perfect balance of adventure and tranquility. Here, where the mountains meet the sky and time moves to the rhythm of nature, you'll create memories that linger long after you've descended from these ancient peaks.

Girls Trip

Wonderful property, quiet and serene. With all the devastation from Hurricane Helene, we were thankful to have a beautiful place to stay during our annual Autumn Girls Trip. Enjoyed shopping locally and supporting multiple businesses in WNC.

Top of the mountain!

2nd time staying in this lovely location; private, quiet, beautiful views, wrap-around porches, back deck is my favorite spot to sit and read or just enjoy the feeling of being surrounded by nature. Fire pit is just off the back deck. Gazebo on front side is wonderful too!! Anu is always attentive.
