This home was built by an Amish family in 1969 and has been in the Stoltzfus family for over 4 generations. (Read more about the history of this home during your visit.)
The Stoltzfus's are now retired and live in a smaller home that is attached to this home. They are the sweetest Amish couple. You will not be sharing anything with them. You have your own entrance, privacy, and space. They keep to themselves but are super friendly so if you see them outside don't hesitate to say Hi. :-)
The Amish couple have been hosting guests for years on this farm, so they are used to having guest on the property.
All of the buildings are OFF LIMITS to guests, unless you are accompanied by someone from the farm. The front yard/grassy area, deck attached to the home and Gazebo are all spaces you may use and enjoy! However, the back yard is also off limits as this is the owners personal space.
ALSO PLEASE BE AWARE IF YOU HAVE SMALL CHILDREN: Once a week (usually on Wednesdays) a small tractor trailer truck will come and pick up the eggs. And approx. twice a month we have a feed truck that comes in, we typically know when these trucks come in and will give our guests a heads up. Other than that you will occasionally see random farm equipment but it's very rare since they keep most of it back in the field lane.

Loved our stay at the Amish farmhouse. Very comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, beautiful, peaceful, bucolic area. Open dining area where 10 of us were able to gather. We’d love to come back someday.
We had a great get-away visit. Plenty of room so that even though we had a lot of people we weren't right on top of each other. The house was very comfortable.Outside was nice as well and we enjoyed walking, throwing a football around with the kids and chilling with the friendly mellow dog.Would definitely book again...
My family of four siblings plus spouses thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations! Everything was clean and convenient for family interactions. The hostess was quick to respond to any inquiries. We love the surrounding farm areas. It was peaceful and serene which greatly enhanced our visit.
We had a big family gathering with children, toddlers and aunts & uncles, etc. This is the perfect place for relaxed gatherings with genuine Pennsylvania Dutch hospitality. Know that it's a working farm with educational exposure to young kids. Be assured that should you have special requests or some urgent attention required, Kathryn will be on it.
We had a group of 12 for a reunion weekend and it was a perfect setup. Clean, modern, plenty of room in the kitchen and dining area for everyone to fit. Bedrooms were great. Very homey!
Very nice place to relax for our group after a long day of work! We loved the space! The only problem we had were a few mice, but hosts did well and addressed the problem!
The house is perfect for our group. Plenty of beds and space. They even put up a christmas tree when i asked them to decorate. This was for our Christmas.
This place is a farm house, just what we were looking for. It's very serene and beautiful. The host is very friendly and communicative. We had a great time
Loved the wide open space, both indoors and out. With a group of young adults and 1 child and the energy they bring it was great to have space to move. Also loved the cleanliness and aesthetics of the whole property.
SMHS Boys Bowling Team relaxed well in Amish Country
This property is simply serene. From driving up the roadway and gazing into lush, green, farmland, seeing the beautiful animals/horses/goats and the friendliest golden retrievers, to the hospitality of not only our on-site property owners but those in the community, this property was everything these west coast kids and family needed! A must stay! Some of us will definitely be back!!
The property was beautiful. I loved the simplicity of the spacious farmhouse. We had 5 of our children and spouses and families with us. It was perfect. From the choice of toys and games in the closet, to the catch and release fishing in the pond! I would certainly recommend this home. Kathryn was a perfect hostess!!!
A group of friends go away together every MLK weekend. We're pretty picky about the place we stay in, as we need enough beds for 9-10 women, a good number of bathrooms, a big living room for us to all gather in, a large table to eat at and craft on, and a kitchen big enough for us to cook various meals. This house fit the bill, and we had a lovely stay. All communication was prompt, we were allowed to check out 2 hours later because of the snow, and we even got some fresh eggs delivered to us one morning! We were close enough to things in Lancaster without it being too "people-y." Thanks again for hosting us!
Pepe, meme, 3 kids and their spouses, 5 grandbabies (oldest, 4 year old)We did tiny town, sight & sound, Dutch Wonderland. Lancaster really is a nice, humble, pleasant place to visit. Relaxing for sure. Our VRBO stay was better than expected. Great beds. Comfortable, lots of pillows, clean and charming. Michael, the caretaker went way out of his way to help us. We could not be happier with the accommodations. A small correction that was a benefit to us, there’s not 3 stall showers. 2 of the showers are tub showers. Making bathing the babies wonderful. Thank you for a great stay
A group of ladies from our church stayed at the farmhouse for 3 and 2 full days. We explored the beautiful countryside in the area, went to see an amazing show at Sights and Sounds Theater, and amazing food and had a wonderful time getting to know one another better around the table at the farm The house was bright, roomy, clean and comfortable. it was equipped with everything we needed and the beds were comfy also. The surroundings were .lovely and the view of the farm and all the farms and fields and flowers was a delight. It was a great experience for all of us!!
What a gorgeous property! We loved waking up in the morning to the most beautiful view of the pond and the horses and idyllic farm. The house was very pleasant with lots of very comfortable beds and plenty of room for a large group. It could use some lamps and a coffee table in the living room, but it was otherwise well-appointed. Just to let you know, there is no dishwasher. The host was responsive and helpful, as I had trouble finding the right entrance upon arrival. This property is about 15 minutes from Sight and Sound, our group's destination.
My family was joined by four other families for our weekend gateway to Amish Country. This house truly was amazing. We all really enjoyed our stay here. Five wonderful bed bedrooms and three awesome bathrooms and with a big kitchen, this place is such a lovely & Cozy house. Tastefully decorated and very clean property run by an awesome property manager known as Kathryn. Kathryn was very gracious, and super helpful! She responded to all our questions very quickly and was kind enough to meet all requests in a timely manner. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay in the Amish community this weekend. Any large group of people visiting Amish country or the Dutch Wonderland Theme Park should look into this listing.
