Comfortable home in a great location

We loved our stay. The house is very comfortable, has natural light and in an ideal location just a few blocks from Main Street and all of the shops and restaurants.The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, knives, modern appliances, etc. The bedrooms were also comfortable and the bathrooms clean. We spent a week at the house and would love to return sometime.

Perfect Location and Great Stay!

The house was perfect for our spring break ski trip. Awesome location within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. There was plenty of space for a few family movie nights and the bedrooms upstairs were great for the teenagers. Close to the Animas River Trail for a jog and an easy drive to Purgatory Resort to ski. We would definitely stay again!

Cozy Townhouse was perfect

This property is great. We came to enjoy one of my husband's favorites places for his 50th. The House was in a great location. It was close to downtown and many restaurants. It was cozy and clean and the owners kept in great communication. We would definitely love to come back to this property

Owners did a terrific job updating and modernizing this early 20th century house in Durango's original neighborhood. Only 10-minute walk to Main Avenue shops and restaurants. You'll feel like a real local staying here!

Wonderful location to downtown Durango, just a short 5-6 minute walk. The house has everything you need and is extremely comfortable. The yard is beautifully maintained. The overall feeling or vibe is super relaxing and high end. I absolutely loved the week I spent there. Highly recommend!

We could walk everywhere we needed for the three days we were there. It was a refreshing break from driving. The home is one of the original in the neighborhood, which comes with quirks, but the owners have recently remodeled and furnished to create a comfortable and beautiful interior. Karen was fantastically attentive and made sure our needs were met both in the home and with activities in the are. Our family of five would be very happy to return.

a perfect get away for the two of us and our 14 year old pug. it felt like a home away from home. bonus is the beautiful neighborhood, friendly locals (the mailman even came over to the porch to chat!) and tons of well behaved furry friends on leashes … great for our comfort zone walking an old gal!!

My family of 6 stayed two nights and it was perfect for our needs. Everything was just as described, so cute and comfortable. We love to the location and how easy it was to walk through the beautiful neighborhood to the downtown. The only problem was we wanted more time in the charming house and beautiful Durango! This house was the perfect distance to walk to restaurants and bars. The weather was amazing the weekend we were there and we enjoyed the 50 degrees and sunshine on the patio most days. Kitchen had everything you need to cook if you dont want to go out. We brought our dog and the house and downtown area was pet friendly. Would definitely stay again when in Durango!

Rental done right!

So very impressed with all the details of this property! Have done other rental places where they didn’t even provide soap to wash your hands! This place was well stocked with everything we needed and more- even had good coffee and tea. Decor was tasteful with obvious attention to detail. Great location with easy walk to historic downtown Durango. Owner was very prompt in responding to questions also. We will definitely try to stay here again.

Wonderful!

Great property right in downtown that has been remodeled. We enjoyed hanging out on the outside deck in the evenings. The bedrooms were very comfortable and each had their own AC unit, which was very helpful, given the heat outside. We cooked several times in the kitchen that was stocked with lots of spices. A nice touch was having Durango coffee available for us to use. Do Having some more utensils would be helpful but other than that everything was great! The bonus was having the extra half bath downstairs, which was convenient. We look forward to staying here again. Thank you!

I have lived in Durango since I was age 19, in 1978! I love Durango and surrounding areas for the beauty and adventures awaiting in the mountains, on the rivers and in the canyons of 4 corners. Every season is gorgeous here with so much to see and do and ways to rest and relax as well!

Why they chose this property

Our neighborhood is right on the grid in Durango, but the hood is quiet and off the busy streets of 3rd Ave and Main Street. The house is on a corner with lots of yard space and everyone loves how walkable our space is!

What makes this property unique

Our property is super special. It was originally built in 1898 and is one of the first houses in Durango! We think an Italian family built the house and the Fireplace mantel is orginial and from Italy again in the late 1800's! The actual fireplace does not work anymore so please do not try to start a fire in the hearth! We did an extensive remodel to the property in 2022 so everything is gorgeous and up to date! We hope you love our designer selections and unique items such as the old door for the patio table!
