Cozy Cottage w/Sun Porch - 2 Blocks to Kids Corner & South Beach!

This property is a single-story bungalow home perfect for a small group retreat or guests with kids who want easy access to the park and the beach.

Living Spaces
The single-story layout makes for an easy setup of the common areas. Entering through the front porch, the living room features a warm aesthetic and has a sleeper sofa, three comfortable chairs, and a TV and books for passing the time. It connects to one of the main rooms and to the dining room and through to the kitchen.

Peak & Non-Peak Season
If you are interested in staying a full week in the non-peak season, September through April, please send in an inquiry with your travel dates and we are happy to supply weekly pricing for your trip.

Cooking & Dining
The modern cottage kitchen is stocked with everything you might need to prepare meals. There is ample fridge and cabinet space, a stove and oven, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, and plenty of dishes and utensils. There is also a quaint breakfast nook with bench seating in the kitchen. This area is perfect for enjoying a quick breakfast while planning the day ahead. It also functions quite well as a space for remote workers or students in need of some space to focus. The dining room seats up to six guests comfortably and sits between the living room and kitchen.

Bed & Bath
Guests have their choice among three bedrooms with full beds. Each of these rooms is sized "juuuust right", with dressers, additional seating, and plenty of natural light. The sofa in the living room pulls out to a full-size sleeper that can accommodate up to two additional guests. These bedrooms and the common areas are serviced by a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo and vanity. Bathroom towels are included, but make sure to bring your own beach towels!

Outdoor Spaces
The enclosed sun porch out front has a large seating nook with tons of pillows which is perfect for a midday nap or curling up with a good book. There are also a few chairs and side tables so you can sit out and have a morning coffee while the sunrise peaks through the wrap-around windows.
Around the back, there is a patio with outdoor seating and a grill for cooking up some meals for a family barbecue. The lush yard is a vibrant green in warmer months and is very private. It has enough space to lay out and soak up some rays or play a casual game of catch.

Perfect beach house

Absolutely wonderful. The house was perfect for a family of five with children under ten. The walk to the beach only two blocks away was a great time to wind up or down. We even bought a jar of local honey one day on the walk! Downtown was maybe a 7-10 min walk. The best part was being on the southern end of South Beach, it was a lot less crowded. Will definitely return. Thank you!

We enjoyed our long weekend at this house. It is 2.5 blocks from the Children's Corner Playground and blue stairs. The porch was my favorite spot in the house and the hammock in the backyard was a bonus.

This was an excellent space for a family of four (including 2 small children). Was spacious enough, clean and relatively updated. The only minor compliant was that the bed in the primary bedroom was uncomfortable (small and creaky).

House was perfectly clean, easy entry, 3 block easy walk to the beach (beach chairs provided too!), kitchen had every necessary item, were able to have a backyard BBQ and all good with the grill and outdoor furniture. Easy walk to downtown and on a quiet street. AC worked great and just the right amount of amenities (TP, Paper towels, detergent) provided to get you going. Definitely would stay here again.

We loved it!

We loved our stay at The Sandpiper Inn! Very cute and clean, also had a very pretty enclosed backyard with landscaping to enjoy with the young kids. Very close to kids corner playground/park, and the blue stairs for beach access. Walk to south beach playground was a few more blocks but still very manageable, even with little ones. We all walked into town for ice cream one night too! Two slept comfortably on the porch every night. A/C worked great inside the house as well. Kitchen was great, very clean. The cabinets were all full of dishes/glasses, etc which was great to have plenty of, but could have used a little more pantry space to put food, etc. It was not an issue, we just used the little table in the kitchen to put our food items. I would definitely recommend!

A bit Disappointed

Location to the Beach was great and the area is nice. As far as the home I was extremally disappointed. The house smelled like a second hand store which made it hard to enjoy. I had to run up to Meijer to buy a bunch of air fresheners and Febreze to help us not gag. The furniture had stains to the point we went and also purchased blankets to put on the furniture to make us feel somewhat comfortable. The couch had a creepy cover, we were scared to look under to see what it looked like. The beds are all full size, not one king or queen and very uncomfortable to sleep in. The windows only have coverings on the lower part, so when the neighbor is walking down his stairs he stares right in (creepy). Very uncomfortable to get dressed in your bedroom when the entire upper window is wide open so we had to alternate using the bathroom to get dressed. They did do a good job decorating but as far as the house we wished they would have spent the money on the furniture instead everything very outdated feels like they hit a bunch of yard sales and slapped some perfume on a pig. I would not rent this house again. This is my 5th rental and each and everyone had some sort of coffee bar and shown sort of hospitality towards the guests, this house had nothing special. I feel bad sharing all this but for the money we spent for 5 days, we all wished we would not have! We felt very uncomfortable (if this would have been a hotel, I would of check out the first night)

Adorable Home in a Good Location

Adorable home, the porch was a great hangout! Was nervous about 6 people using 1 bathroom, but it was updated and roomy and ended up working out perfectly. Love the door code entry, made it so easy for people to come and go as they please. A quick walk to the beach which passes an amazing park as well. Only thing I would recommend is replacing some of the fabrics throughout the home, as there was a faint pet odor when the house warmed up during the day. Overall fun beach house.
