Great updated family friendly home in the High Country w/ game room & fire pit.

You will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located family friendly home. Our property is in the small mountain community of Mill Ridge found along the Watauga River in the town of Foscoe, NC. -located in ski country between Boone and Sugar Mnt and close to Blowing Rock, Hawksnest Zip line, Grandfather Mnt, Beech Mnt and App Ski. The Mill Ridge community offers hiking trails, tennis courts, a playground, a swimming pool (open in the summer), and fishing access along the Watauga River.
Our 2-story house has 4 bedrooms (3 Queen and 1 Full), 3 full bathrooms and central heating/air. All 4 bedrooms are located on the 1st floor as well as 2 bathrooms and the laundry room. Wi-Fi is provided. The property has 3 Smart TV's located in the family room, game room and one of the bedrooms. Additionally, the grounds boast ample easy parking, an outdoor picnic table and firepit.
The 2nd floor is why we love this house- just take the staircase up to a large open floorplan with family room/dining room with spacious updated kitchen, game room, full bathroom, and access to the upper deck. Surrounded by windows, the space allows for plenty of sunlight and beautiful views- a great place to spend time with family and friends.
The game room has plenty to offer: Boss Toss and Connect Four wall games along with a foosball table and numerous board and card games. This room has a futon couch and smart tv with dvd player and movies. This is an awesome space for kids young and old. Although our home is family friendly, it is not child proofed. Please monitor the safety of your small children.
The upper deck is a wonderful spot to take in the clean mountain air and enjoy time with family and friends. In addition to the lovely view there is a pub style dining table, Adirondack chairs, and a propane grill for all your Bar-B-Que needs.
We are a mountain community with a solid climb in elevation from the main highway. Winter rentals should have four wheel or all-wheel drive to access the property. The roads are paved and plowed during winter storms but are also narrow, with a hard sharp left turn uphill just before the house. Our home is one of the few that has ample flat easy parking and a ring doorbell camera for additional safety and security.
The house is centrally located in the High Country: 10 miles to downtown Boone/Appalachian State University, 10 miles to downtown Banner Elk, and 10 miles to Blowing Rock. In addition, we are 2 miles from Grandfather Vineyard and Winery, 5 miles from Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Zipline tours, 7 miles from Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, 16 miles from Beech Mountain, 12 miles from Appalachian Mountain Ski Resort, 15 miles from Grandfather Mountain, 21 miles to Linville Falls and close to multiple access points for the Blue Ridge Parkway.
