Pura Vida is Hill Country living at its finest! This amazing hilltop home includes a guest house and a poolside cabana that features an outdoor kitchen and dining area. Tucked away, on the mountain top in Canyon Oaks Subdivision, this will definitely give you the ultimate Frio River vacation. This newly renovated 4 bedroom, 3 bath, plus casita has an open concept living that is drenched in sunlight. The dining room overlooks the pool area, giving you the tranquility you need. The additional space in the Casita will give you and your guest a separate living area, providing a master bedroom plus full bathroom, and additional sleeping space in the living area. You will be able to look out the back and enjoy the overlook of the Frio Canyon area. Providing plenty of sitting space for relaxation to look out over the pool and serene mountain scenery. The deck will definitely be the perfect spot to enjoy the perfect sunset and sunrise. Where every start of the day feels like you are touching the sun and the end of the day feels like you are saying good bye to an old friend. For the grill master there's a a charcoal smoker for you and your family to enjoy. Fun for the entire family starts with board games, corn hole, darts, and giant Jenga. This retreat is for the guest who seeks an outstanding resort-style vacation experience. This home will give you sanctuary, you'll find staying here a perfect day in the Pura Vida.

PET FEES: This rental requires a pet fee of $25/day for each pet. All pets must be kept in a kennel when left behind at the property and leashed when outside. Pet fee will be collected after booking confirmation.


To help keep the cost of your rental down, we do offer our guest the option to bring their own Linens and Towels. We do offer the option to rent them at an extra cost. If wanting to rent linens and towels for your stay, please allow us 3 weeks prior to arrival notice. Make note that we do have a limited supply and cannot guarantee we will have lines and towels readily available.

LINENS: Bring linens and pillowcases, pillows, blanket/bedspread are provided.
TOWELS: Bath towels, washcloths, kitchen towels and pool towels.
CHAIRS: Bring folding or sack chairs to take to the river. The chairs at the rental should not be removed from the property.
PAPER GOODS: Paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, paper plates, plastic cups, plastic ware.
SOAP: Dishwashing, laundry and hygiene products
BBQ: There are BBQ cooking utensils, but remember to bring charcoal/lighter/matches.
Your kitchen is complete with dinnerware, silverware, glasses, basic cookware, coffee pot, microwave, pots & pans.

Overall, the property was fantastic! We enjoyed the outdoor space by the pool where we got to grill steaks and sit at the bar and visit. Both homes were wonderfully decorated and cozy. It fit our party of 10 perfectly. One person enjoyed the pool, and the others enjoyed the outdoor fireplace. Lol. The area was clean and comfortable. We will definitely come again.

The pool was beautiful, impeccably maintained, and positioned to take full advantage of the sweeping views, truly one of the highlights of the home. Both the main house and the Casita were exceptionally clean, and the entire property felt thoughtfully cared for.Our group was large, and we initially assumed we would stay in the master bedroom of the main house since it was the only room with an attached bathroom. However, once we stepped into the Casita, a completely separate from the main home, we immediately changed our plans. The Casita is a full one‐bedroom apartment, complete with stunning high ceilings, a private bedroom, a spacious open living room, dining area, a mini‐fridge, coffee maker, and additional beds for guests. It offered privacy, comfort, and a sense of retreat that made it an ideal space for us.The views from the pool area were breathtaking. Being situated so high above the surrounding landscape created a serene atmosphere and allowed us to enjoy panoramic scenery from sunrise to sunset. the house is great but the pool area is even better

This is a beautiful home that sits on top of a high hill in the Texas Hill Country. The indoor space is comfortable and generous. The casita on the other side of the pool is wonderful for helping a group spread out. It is the outdoor space that puts this property over the top. The pool, the lounging deck, the full bar, the sitting area around an outdoor fireplace--all of it is terrific. The agency is easy to work with as well. Highly recommend!

2023 Family vacation

The property was beautiful no dout especially the view the house does need more cleaning cause it was pretty dirty but it was manageable unfortunately when we got there the ac from the guest house didn't work the manager was super fadt to get us window units but just imagine the drapes would not go all the way down so it was like a must wake up super early cause of all the light from the windows,the pool needed cleaning but they never went so its a beautiful place but it was not that good of experience for us if we wouldn't have had all those issues differently a 5 star home

2nd year in a row & will return!

Overall, A+. Beautiful and clean home. Our only frustrations would be that the things we did have issues with, were the same issues we had last year. We made them aware of the issues last year, and they still have not been fixed. Cloudy pool, fridge in kitchen does not get cold, coffee maker does not work, very slippery/dangerous spots around the pool.

I would have thought they would credit a little for the lack of hot water and not getting fixed but haven't heard anything about it yet 🤔

Unfortunately, a breaker to the hot water heater in the main house went bad. Had the issue been reported immediately we could have gotten a new breaker and replaced it during your stay, however being a holiday and a weekend there just wasn't anywhere to obtain a replacement. Concan is a little isolated from major hardware stores. Fortunately, there was another hot water heater which serviced the cabana, so the rest of your group enjoyed hot showers and had plenty of hot water the entire stay. As soon as the holiday weekend was over the breaker was replaced and all was good again. Im not sure what compensation you thought you deserved, but hopefully you enjoyed the rest of your stay despite this one little inconvenience.

The kids enjoy the pool area they are in there from morning till dark. I love the new extra stuff they have added. I look forward to my vacation every year. To be at this house it is priceless when you see all the kids of all ages even the adults having fun and enjoying every bit of it. You just can't put a price on that.
