Absolutely picturesque location… convenient to walk to town - people in the town so wonderfully kind and helpful…Restaurants so yummy, warm and inviting. O’Loclainns Whisky Bar (Margaret) was a highlight as well as The Burren walking way (the woods). And Soo much more! Thank you Seamus, Mary, you family and staff!
Beautiful house and location. Host met us and showed us round. The house had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean, and although it rained a lot we found things to do out and about and enjoyed coming home to a cosy house.
Lovely home for our family reunion. The location is wonderful getaway from all of the chaos.,Very Zen. We did have to pay for fuel due to the rising costs in Ireland. The town of Ballyvaugh is adorable.
Very restful stay and the perfect space for a family gathering and holiday.
House was in a terrific location to explore Co. Clare and Galway.
I'd definitely recommend to others and would happily book again.
The property is like you see in the photos. It has very good views and is situated just outside the village of Ballyvaughan about a 10 minute walk where there is a supermarket, and pubs, also a Church. It is a good situation if you want to tour Clare and nice places like Doolin, Lahinch and the Arran Islands. You need a car. It has good surrounds and we enjoyed the peace. We spent one day in Galway too where the traffic is a bit congested. The five ensuites came in very handy with our large family of 7 adults and 2 children. The kitchen has everything you need. The beds are comfortable. There are quite a few instructions of what you have to do before your leave!Overall, we had an amazing week and we were lucky with the weather. Only rained on our last day.
Ballyvaughn is the perfect location to enjoy hill walks, beaches, and small town ambience. Sycamore house is the perfect place to come back “home” after a busy day.
Seamus Marlborough was extremely welcoming and had gone out of his way to make us feel festive by putting up 2 different Christmas trees, which were so lovely. There was loads of firewood for the fireplaces. Seamus answered questions very quickly when I had to text him. We loved staying at Sycamore House. It's a beautiful home in a charming town with spectacular bay views and access.
The house was beautiful and very well maintained. We have loads of fun. The location was perfect so that we could do a lot of day trips to Galway, cliffs of Moher, etc., or just enjoy the house and the little town. Seamus was very accommodating and offered some great suggestions.
Both this house and area were gorgeous. We stayed for Christmas with parents and in-laws and it was a wonderful experience. Seamus even had a Christmas tree up :D.
Such a lovely house and location. We had 11 adults and 2 under 3s staying and despite the weather being mostly wet and windy we all had a fantastic time. The house is so well equipped and the layout is perfect for a social gathering. Would definitely recommend.
