About this property

Sugar Retreat- just a walkway away from the slopes at Sugar Mountain

Beautifully decorated rustic condo with Stone Fireplace and huge window with 180 degree of Grandfather mountain.
We are located at Sugar Mountain, a short drive to Lees MacRae.
Three bedrooms each with a queen size bed and an adorable loft with 2 twin beds. All linens and blankets provided. Curl up with a book in one of our cozy chairs or couch in front of the gas log fireplace! Or when the weather is nice, enjoy sitting on our deck overlooking the mountains and view of Grandfather Mountain. Well appointed kitchen with everything you need to enjoy a nice dinner at home. Coffee pot and filters provided.
WiFi and smart TV in living room with Netflix available to watch as well as local channels.

A short, three minute walk down private nature trail to get to the slopes of Sugar Mountain. You can ski in the morning, come back to the condo for lunch, take a nap, and then ski again in the evening!

Nature trail has bridge crossing beautiful mountain stream which can be heard from the condo.

Property has outdoor balcony / deck overlooking Grandfather Mountain. Spectacular views. Ice skating rink, tennis court, and golf course within walking distance. Several mountain trails nearby.

Great location with 2 grocery stores (Food Lion and Lowe’s Foods) within a short drive. Several restaurants and coffee shops nearby also!

We love Sugar Mountain and the surrounding areas so please ask any questions you may have!

Great Property

Kind, responsive, and accommodating hosts. Very well-equipped with just about everything you could need. Back deck with great views of mountains, ice rink, and base of mountain with snowboarders but not overly loud at all. Peaceful time at Thanksgiving with hot coffee, cider, fireplace, and good company. Plenty of space (three separate 2-people bedrooms, a separate loft with two twin beds, a comfy couch, loveseat, and big chair by the fireplace). Two full bathrooms, great kitchen, and a washer/dryer. Easy drive to Boone, Banner Elk, or other nearby venues. Try Vicious Biscuit and Mountain Dog Coffee. Great setup for a Sugar Mountain area getaway in any season! We'll be back.

Perfect location for our family mini vacation. Sugar Retreat was clean, comfortable, and lots of room for our family. Short drive to Boone, Banner Elk and Blowing Rock!

We had a wonderful staying here. Came here for a skiing/ snowboarding trip and it was a great location. A quick 5 minute or less walk and your buying lift tickets for the slopes. Will be staying again in the near future!

A wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay in Sugar Mountain! The cabin is so lovely and well maintained. The communication from the property manager was quick and helpful! We would certainly recommend this place to anyone in the Boone/Banner Elk area.

Great cozy place so close to skiing!

We really enjoyed our time in this cozy condo. We took advantage of the close proximity to sugar mountain to ski each day! We enjoyed returning to the condo for breaks and used their well equipped kitchen to cook. It was great!

I planned a ski trip to Sugar Mountain, this condo was awesome and comfortably slept 10 people! Great location, we could walk to ski and tube. I would definitely stay here again, it was a great price.

Great spot

Very comfortable condo, conveniently located walking distance to snowboarding and tubing. Not the easiest walk due to missing railing in some spots, but really close to the slopes. Mattresses were super comfortable and kitchen had everything you could possibly need.

We loved this condo!

It was the perfect spot with kids. It had everything we needed and it was SO easy to get to the slopes, child care center, etc. The weather wasn't great which made us even more grateful for the conveniences this condo had to offer. We had a wonderful trip! Thank you!

GREAT CONDO CLOSE TO SLOPES

This condo was roomy, cozy, and close to all the activities offered by Sugar Mountain. We all really enjoyed our stay there. It was just as the pictures show and very clean. Thanks to the property manager for being great to deal with. I will surely recommend this condo to others.

Amazing Time

We took a quick trip to Sugar Mtn. and couldn’t have stayed in a better location! Walking distance to everything. The kids loved it. The condo was clean and cozy and the kids loved the loft area. The property owner was informative about places to eat and see with the kids which was a huge help. We will definitely plan to go back and stay in this property again!

Ski getaway

The property is in a great location! The only drawback we had, and it may not be something you can not help, is we could only pick up one channel with the cable and netflix would not work. Other than that the condo was great! We really enjoyed our weekend stay.

Bruce and Bonnie Jackson are the owners of this property. They live in Wilmington, NC. We purchased this property because it had been completely renovated and our grand children could walk to the ski slope without having to walk on the main street. Also after having purchased this property we realized we could watch the grandchildren ice skate from out living room window. This is such a bonus. We hope you will enjoy this place as much as we have.

We chose this property because of it's close proximity to multiple activities. We love the Sugar Mountain community and you are so close to everything. The mountains are dear to our heart and we have always loved to spend time there. Our children and grandchildren have grown up knowing this as part of their home. I hope you will feel the same way once you have visited us.
