About this property

Secluded One Bedroom Cottage, Walking Distance to Sanibel Beaches - Tiki Cottage A!

Tiki Too • Sanibel Island Vacation Rental

Tiki Too is the brand new, reimagined Tiki A-Tiki B cottages that were destroyed in Hurricane Ian. This is a perfect secluded beach hideaway. Two bedroom, two bathroom, elevated home is within short walking distance of the beautiful Sanibel Island beaches. The screened lanai allows for ultimate relaxation and serenity. Treasured art work was rescued from the broken cottage, and reframed for the new Tiki Too. This has been a very emotional journey for the owner. Her parents purchased the original cottage in 1960! You will love your stay in this cozy cottage!

This Sanibel Island vacation rental is in a quiet location, perfect for taking a scenic stroll or bicycle ride around the island while enjoying the sights of exotic birds and trees.

Wonderful Area

It was about what we expected, nice area to bring your dog, lot of Friendly folks. We've been coming to Sanibel for over 30 years and this was about the average for our stay's. The Sunset's at the beach are better than most areas. #1 reason for staying here is the Sunset and Pet's allowed.

Piece of paradise

A cute cottage on a quiet street close to beautiful beach. We loved every moment of our getaway. The beach was a 2 min walk away. Area was beautiful. The cottage was well equipped and easy to manage. Kitchen and living room set up nicely. Beds were very comfortable. In fact we brought our own mattress foam toppers but never unpacked them as we slept so well! Washer/dryer was great to have. We are booked for 2022!

Third time was a charm ...

And so was the first and the second. This is the third year my friend and I have stayed at Tiki A for our girls' vacation. It's small, but perfect. There is a serviceable kitchen which is a big win as we like to prepare many of our meals. The neighborhood is quiet, but very accessible to everything Sanibel has to offer — we bike around much of the island. The in-house washer and dryer are also great for longer stays. While we didn't use it, the addition of the grill is wonderful. Maybe we'll check it out next year. But our favorite part has to be that it is so close to the beach. It's a matter of steps to get to a great beach that isn't overcrowded. We spend time shelling and swimming and then walk back. It can't get much better. Thanks for the wonderful accommodations!

The cottage was clean and cozy. It had an Adirondack type

Overall the cottage was comfortable. I had a couple of safety concerns. The oven switch on stove was not operating properly and if you were standing by the sink and touch the dial gently the oven would automatically turn the oven on. The paving stones outside the steps to cottage were uneven and seniors needed to be carefully when walking on them, or they might trip.

Tikki cottage A

This was not at Tradewinds resort. It was privately owned. Somewhat dated. Could use some fixing up. Very clean for the cost. Great location to beach. Sofa needs replacing with a Sleeper sofa. Had trouble with washer. Over all, I'd rent again.

Tiki

We loved staying here. Peaceful, quiet. Great location to beach. Our only issue was the dryer didn't work well, leaving us to hang dry clothes. We mentioned it when we left. I expect it will be taken care of.

Bad Timing but excellent

Rated cleanliness a 4 because they had put everything inside the cottage because of Dorian. Had to remove everything to be able to get in. They did come and clean right away when notified of the issue while we went out to eat. Overall the experience was excellent.

Tiki A

Best part of this ONE bedroom rental is the location that allows a short walk to uncrowded beach. Unit is old, but attempts to update have been made (appliances, bathroom). However, mattresses were very uncomfortable, bed linens old, dining chairs soiled, throw pillows should be thrown out. Biggest complaint is the thin wall between units that allowed us to hear total conversations of occupants in that unit.

Paradise...

ONLY thing l would change about Tiki A cottage is figure out better a/c. Really was too warm for comfort on very hot days! Also add a exhaust fan in bathroom. The neighborhood is FANTASTIC and soo peaceful!!! The private beach was PERFECT. Easy check in / out process. Will highly recommend to friends.😊

Lots of fun, great location and very peaceful

It was nothing fancy but it was perfect for our trip to Sanibel Island. We had a great time. The beach is easily accessible, lots of opportunities, to bike, walk the beach collecting shells or watching the wildlife! We loved the location. It was quiet and peaceful! We ended up buying a small grill to cook on. Tracy & Abby

Nice place to stay.....if you rent both sides at once.

The Tiki Cottages are a cute place to stay. Very convenient. Tiki Cottage A & B are adjoining. I would not recommend renting one of the cottages if you don't know who is renting the other. I rented cottage A while my daughter and her boyfriend rented the other. They tended to get up earlier in the morning while I like to sleep a bit later. Noise was a problem when they were up for the morning. It was irritating BUT, would have been way more irritating if it had been someone unknown to me.

Enjoyable stay!

Pros: The place has everything you need, literally and it is VERY, VERY clean. I loved that! Fridge, stove, oven, microwave, toaster and all cooking utensils and pots. Washer and dryer. Even beach chairs and an umbrella. The company you'll be working with Royal Shell - has no clue of what is really in that cottage though so heads up - don't bother asking them. The best part of this whole place is your access to the beach it is not a public beach and it is a good long walk to Bowman's Beach but we were very happy at this beach - the public beaches are too crowded. Shelling was ok but I hear it's better after a storm. I did see people bring their dogs to the beach so heads up if you have an issue with that. Also people fish right from the shore so pay attention so that the fishing line doesnt end smacking you in the face while you are walking or running. One Dutch lady got caught up in my fishing line because she wasn't paying attention. We were very happy here and plan on coming back in the future. Cons: Although the A/C worked so very hard in cooling the place down it struggled to keep the living room area cool. I am guessing it is because the place isn't insulated well and the door has gaps where you can see light through and I am sure that doesn't help. Also - the beds are two twin beds - they're ok. In the heat and humidity of the summer time - keep the door to the bedroom closed to maintain the coolness of the bedroom - otherwise it will be warm when you go to sleep at night.

A great beach cottage!

The location was superb being on a quiet neighborhood and so near the beach. The kitchen was well stocked. The living room was comfy and all was very clean and well maintained. The cottage could use some beach towels and maybe a hairdryer. Also, maybe just post a reminder in duplex to be mindful that you are sharing a common bedroom wall so quieting children and dogs is appreciated.

1960

The plaque on the porch says 1960 and it shows! The linoleum is curling up around the baseboards, the seams have been glued together, the ceilings have streaks everywhere from the roof leaking (obvious mold issues). We left a Day early because of sinus issues. You can hear snoring coming from the other unit. It is close to the beach though.

Love that Tiki Hut!

This is the perfect sized place for one or two people. Full kitchen with microwave and dishwasher, washer and dryer. Two twin beds that were nice and comfy. Ceiling fans to use if you don't want the air conditioning. Air conditioning that turns on and cools down the rooms quickly. The location can't be beat-just a few footsteps away from a pristine, natural beach. The water was warm and inviting. If you want to stay in a nice, clean place with a great location, rent the Tiki Hut!

Beach house was perfect for two. Distance to walk to beach was perfect.

We had nearly everything we needed. Everything was comfortable & clean. Atmisphere was quaint, beachy, cheerful & relaxing. Extra bath towels & blankets were available. I wish they had answered the question about if they provided beach towels. We didnt need to pack ours. They were a little stingy on the toilet paper, 2 rolls for a whole week was not enough. Had to buy more. Would have appreciated beach chairs also being available.

Wonderful little cottage next to a great, unpopulated beach with lots of conch shells!

This is a great little cottage with all the comforts of home next to a great beach. It's also next to the bike trails, close to JN Ding Darling park, and close to Bowman's and Blind Pass beaches. I highly recommend it!
