Dine alfresco with grilled steaks under the palms for a romantic night in. Stretch out in a king size bed and wake up refreshed in a separate bedroom from the living space.

Lanikai is a special destination. I have had family there for as long as I've been alive. Lodging is always a problem if the family home is not available. This property was perfect for my needs. Close to beaches and Kalapawai market for essentials and treats. The driveway is steep. My hostess provided a service rope for me to use to prevent a fall. The interior is perfect, the bed is fabulous, the view is spectacular. It would be nice if there was (any) bathroom counter space but I used the first shelf of the cabinet by moving the provided amenities to the shelf above. Highly recommend for single traveler or couple.

This may sound better The apartment was clean and had a comfortable king-size bed. The kitchen was well equipped, and there was a stackable washer and dryer available outside. The host was friendly and easy to communicate with, and the price for the stay was very reasonable. Lanikai Beach is also just a short drive away, although street parking at the beach can be very limited.One thing I wish I had known before booking is that the host lives on the property. You can hear footsteps from upstairs, and when they walk around, some ceiling spackle occasionally falls into the kitchen sink. Also, because this is Hawaii, it’s to be expected that geckos and the occasional centipede will make their way inside.The biggest challenge was the extremely steep driveway leading to the apartment. It made carrying luggage, groceries, or other items difficult, and it can feel especially unsafe when it’s raining. The host also occasionally uses the garage located directly in front of the apartment, so there is some activity in that area.There is a nice patio with a barbecue and outdoor seating, along with a spot to remove your shoes, as guests are asked to leave shoes outside.Overall, this is a clean, reasonably priced place with a responsive host and a convenient location. It would be an even better stay if there were stairs or vehicle access directly to the apartment, as the steep driveway was the main drawback.

this place is such a great little gem and a rare find in the area. It's much larger than what I expected from the photos and has everything you need to enjoy the beach. It's not super fancy, but considering its proximity to the beach and the provided parking spot, its a great spot for a couple or perhaps a small family. Now the driveway you walk up to the unit is very steep, but I considered it good exercise, although it might be tough for the elderly or if you have walking issues. The owners do live on the property but we hardly ever noticed them and they always responded quickly to our messages. Only small complaint is with the provided parking spot-- be careful not to scratch the passenger side of your vehicle like we did...we arrived at night and the painted line on the wall doesn't give you much room to work with. Regardless we had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

It was so ideal in every way. Walk to beach, Pillbox Trail, morning run to Kalapawai Market. Thoughtful touches. Hose nearby to wash off sandy feet, chairs to watch sunrise at beach, washer, dryer, well stocked kitchen. Felt like home with lots of Aloha spirit. Mahalo, Adele!

We love Lanikai beach and being close to Kailua beach. Both very different but amazing. We enjoy the beautiful coconut palms, breezes on the hillside and the roar of the ocean when storms roll in.

What makes this property unique

It's a quiet roomy space with the comforts of home. It gives you outdoor living space and a walkable neighborhood. It's close to Kailua and Waimanalo beaches and a few steps from Lanikai beach.
