Bay Watch 6A sits at the end of two quiet streets in Bradenton Beach — no through traffic, no noise from the main road, just the Intracoastal Waterway on one side and Gulf beaches 100 yards in the other direction. The private dock is available for fishing, kayak launches, and watching whatever moves through the water. Guests have pulled snook and redfish off the dock.

The pool, shared among just 16 units, stays consistently warm and consistently uncrowded.

The complex has been a guest favorite for 30 years. One guest has stayed here for 30 consecutive years. That kind of loyalty doesn't happen by accident — it happens because the location, the intimacy of the complex, and the dual water access deliver something guests can't find at scale anywhere else on the island.

The condo itself has been well maintained with recent updates. The primary suite has a new en-suite bathroom, a queen bed with bay views, and its own flat-screen TV. The guest bedroom has two twin beds that can be configured as a king with advance notice — worth requesting when you book. The private balcony off the primary overlooks the dock and bay — the right spot for sunrise coffee or a sunset drink.

The living room opens to bay views and is fully equipped for relaxed evenings. The kitchen handles full meal preparation with complete cookware and appliances. A full-size washer and dryer in the unit means extended stays and week-long visits are equally easy. High-speed 1-gig WiFi throughout.

The Gulf beach is 100 yards away — about a two-minute walk. Less crowded than the main public access points, with excellent shelling and wide sand in both directions. The free Anna Maria Island trolley stops nearby for exploring the full length of the island without moving your car.

Bay Watch 6A has a 4-night minimum stay — shorter than most Anna Maria Island rentals that require a full week. One covered parking space included plus guest parking available.

Great location

Nice condo with an awesome deck to watch sunrise on the bay. Very short walk to the beach. A little tricky to find the parking spot under the building.

Wonderful Getaway

We were there to celebrate a birthday and Memorial Day. The location is fantastic, view of the bay is tranquil, and a short walk to the beach. We had a wonderful time. Highly recommend this location and rental company. They were quick to reply to questions via text and pleasant to communicate with.

Wonderful Place!

This location is the best of both worlds! You can kayak, fish and watch for dolphins in bay or walk across the road to the beach. We had a phenomenal time. The location was great. Our older kids were able to take the trolly around the island while we hung out at the beach. The condo was quite and had a great pool. It also comes with beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas and a wagon.

Anna Maria island

Condo was in a good location in relation to the beach and walkable to a few restaurants. The condo overall needs a little attention. Sheetrock work and painting where leaks have occurred would be suggested. Property was mostly clean except living area that had not been vacuumed. Master bedroom mattress and sheets could be replaced. We left a day early.

Property very nice, but the checkin was messed up.

The property for the most part was good. There were some minor maintenance issues that need to be addressed, but they were not show stoppers. The location of property was excellent with a beautiful view of the bay. We received some erroneous email communications from Island Vacation Properties. There was no checkin envelope at the property managers office and their office was not even open during the prime Saturday afternoon checkin window. As for the property itself, I would definitely stay again.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First day July 22nd, the TV did not work had to call 3 times to get it fixed. There was mildew on the ceiling in the Main Bedroom. Kitchen faucet was broken I had to fix it. The fan/light fixture in the main Bathroom was falling out of the ceiling. The floors were full of sand, we had to vacuum. The closet in the guest bedroom was full of sand from the beach equipment that was stored there. We never had a chance to swim in the Pool, because there were many families with kids in diapers and little kids constantly yelling, the Pool Rules clearly stated no more then 9 persons at a time. If I had to pick one positive it would be the view.

It was an ok place. Very outdated. One negative is that I had called and told the rental company that our master bath sink would not drain and he told me he’d put in a work order. Well, nobody ever showed up. Wouldn’t stay here again.
