Wonderful Chalet!

Our stay at the chalet was the most peaceful and relaxing part of our trip. The place was spotless, the host (Alice) thought of every detail, the chalet was spotless, and we really enjoyed the outdoor firepit. The views from out back were amazing; although, a bit unfortunate that we were socked in with fog many of the days we were there.Would recommend this chalet if you are interested in visiting area towns, Acadia or just want to relax in a beautiful spot!

The house is beautiful and immaculate. Pictures do not do it justice. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. We had an accident resulting in a minor injury while staying at the house and even though it was no fault of the owners the hosts were very responsive, kind, and helpful.

Home away from home

We had a family vacation with adult children and this was a perfect place to enjoy Acadia National Park as well as the surrounding area. It’s about an hour from Bar Harbor but the trade off is a peaceful, beautiful, and comfortable home with every amenity. Check-in and checkout were easy. We made some wonderful memories and would love to stay here again. I cannot recommend highly enough!

Wow! We had an incredible week at Sunrise Shores! The listing was just as described, if not better! The home was clean, well stocked with kitchen utensils & appliances, provided comfy beds, a fun game room and a very cozy fire pit out by the water!! Family Vacation

Our family enjoyed this property! Plenty of room for our family of 5. House was one of the cleanest ones we have rented and we have visited 46 states as a family, so that's saying something. Ample activities inside to keep families occupied on rainy days. The sun rises are great!! There was great communication leading up to our stay and had zero issues.

Peaceful Paradise

This was a Spring Break vacation for the kids. We wanted to see Acadia without the crowds. The chalet was perfect in every way. Beautiful decor and furnishings and everything was as advertised. And the added touches of comfort made our stay so enjoyable. We all enjoyed the game room, theatre and the incredible views. I would fully recommend a stay for anyone looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway.

The home was exactly as described... beautiful and well appointed! We enjoyed our morning coffee relaxing on the deck with incredible water views and in the evenings by the fire pit. Amazing property With a spectacular view!

I have to say, out of all of the properties we have ever stayed in, this ranks among the very top. Such a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. The owners have literally thought of everything. We were greeted by a very clean property, snacks in the kitchen and a view off of the back that was breathtaking! We are already planning our next trip to Maine and this property is an absolute must. We enjoyed our stay here. House was beautiful and comfy. Bar Hatbor is over an hour away by car, and we went both days we stayed here. We would have loved more time at the house, but we were to busy out exploring the area. The snacks left for us were a huge hit. Thanks!

The home is perfectly clean, well stocked and nicely decorated. Our family loved the basement games and theater. Each evening we were there, we enjoyed a fire by the ocean and watched the sunset. It’s absolutely picturesque! Excellent hosts. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home! We loved the peaceful waterfront location with spectacular views of the sunrise and the game room and movie theater were both a hit with everyone! Having the firepit (with smores included) and a gas grill on the deck allowed us more time to enjoy outside with our family. The hosts truly did not overlook any details in this home. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return!

You can tell the hosts have tried to think of everything you would need. We enjoyed all the amnesties- fire with s’mores down by the water, movie night, and a ping pong tournament. It’s a drive to Bar Harbor but given how crowded it was there we were happy to have a retreat in Corea. Highly recommend Lunch on the Wharf!

Medicine for your soul!

This place is amazing! First, the host is amazing. They’ve taken great care to make sure the property is well maintained and stocked with everything you need. They make it easy to communicate with them and provide a comprehensive booklet containing all the information you need for everything in the house and for the area. The photos in the ad are spot on. The location is tranquil and private but also conveniently located close to Acadia State Park attractions in both Winter Harbor and Bar Harbor (it’s closer to Winter Harbor). I highly recommend this spot. I certainly plan on returning! I mean, just look at the place!!!!!

Wonderful house at a great location

We thoroughly our stay. The house is a short drive to the smaller part of the national park. We hiked, biked, fished and kayaked and enjoyed seeing some of the nearby small towns. The house is about an hour from Bar Harbor and we went to the larger section of the park one day. That said, by staying at the house, we avoided the crush of tourists and traffic. One night we had family Olympics with foosball, darts, PacMan and other games in the house. The kitchen was well supplied and the house was big enough that when we wanted alone time, people could choose their spots in the house, on the deck or by the water.

Exactly What You Wish For

The property is immaculate, the location is gorgeous (especially for watching the sunrise over Gouldsboro Bay). It is so thoughtfully out-fitted, from towel heaters, to a theater room, game room, wonderful deck furnishings, to usb charger outlets on the nightstands--it is like staying in a masterclass of hospitality. It is designed with the sole purpose of enjoying the moment and the people you are with. The kitchen is excellent, with everything you need and justba really comfortable place for conversations. The great room is fantastic with a wall of windows and fireplace. It is quiet and peaceful. We sat by the firepit and watched loons diving for dinner each evening. The fire pit is another example of the thoughtful consideration put into the property, there's an ample stack of wood, kindling, fire starter...but there's also a hose hanging from the tree for convenient end-of-the-evening extinguishing. Alice and Kyle are excellent communicators. It really was one of the best places we've stayed and best host experiences we've had.
