Such a gem of a place! It’s like staying in the woods! We had a wonderful stay settling out daughter into Vassar that is very close. Also lots of delicious food in Eastdale.. very fun, thanks Mark!

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at this wonderful home. The location at the end of the road in a cozy family neighborhood enabled peace and quiet but with easy access to the main roads. The natural wooded setting, ornamental grasses, proximity to Wappinger Creek , and an entertaining squirrel population made for a very relaxing outdoor venue to unwind after a day's exploration. We especially enjoyed the Scandinavian design and mid-century modern touches inside the home. The open living/kitchen area features a nice collection of robust, large potted plants blending the transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable during our stay. We enthusiastically recommend it to anyone appreciating this appealing combination of location, quiet, and design.

Wappinger Cottage was spotlessly clean, quiet, well appointed and perfectly maintained. The house conveys sophistication and understated elegance; it's well situated for trips up and down the Hudson River Valley; the hosts were cordial and informative; and every step of the process was well thought-out and smooth. What a beautiful spot. The house is ideally located, in a little neighborhood, but perfectly angled to face the stream and the trees. Extremely comfortable (great beds!) and ready for relaxing inside and outside. This was perhaps the best VRBO spot we've rented in many years. Congrats.

Peaceful and cool

Stayed here for two nights when we dropped our kid off at college. Lovely, clean and comfortable. Lots of greenery, and the flowing river relaxed us all as we re-packed and prepared for move-in day! Host was very prompt and helpful. Highly recommend.
