The only thing that would have made the stay better was to have hot pads, dish towels and a scissors in the kitchen. Loved that they had a shower steamer available but could not open it without a scissors. There was only one bath towel and one oversized hand towel and one wash cloth per bedroom so all our couples had to share them. It wasn’t ideal. It would also have been nice to have extra towels for the hot tub. The downstairs mattress smelled pretty bad. Otherwise the house was great!!!

We enjoyed our stay. Lots of gathering spaces for our group of 7 adults. Beds comfortable and extra towels were available if we needed them. Great house for a large family or several families.

Great hangout for friends and family

Everything was great. We had three families there and everyone loved it. Lots of space for everyone. I love that there was a separate hangout area for the kids downstairs if they wanted to have their own space. We all spent hours in the games room, which was a great added bonus. The owner was very accommodating when we had a last minute schedule change and needed some extra time. Would definitely stay here again, and everyone in our party would too!

We had a great Christmas

I'm so grateful to Andy for allowing us in their beautiful home last minute for Christmas. We fit in there perfectly. I loved the open concept, exactly as pictured, super clean, the kitchen was well stocked. Andy was a great host with good communication. Thanks again Andy!

July 2024 family trip

This house is great! It had enough bedrooms and seating areas for our family of 6 to spread out and unwind after long days of enjoying the area. It’s close enough to Seattle but far enough away that you don’t have to deal with city traffic and noise. Andy was very responsive to any questions or needs. The house is in very nice condition in a fairly quiet neighborhood. The hot tub and games in the garage were a bonus! A great rental that I will definitely consider the next time we are in Seattle.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this host.On the day of check-in, the host contacted me directly on my personal phone number rather than communicating through the VRBO platform and referenced my home address when questioning why I had booked the property. As a guest, I found this invasive and uncomfortable.I explained that our group had dinner reservations in Seattle and simply wanted a place to stay together afterward. The host then asked whether we planned to have a party at the property. I clearly stated that no parties would be taking place and that we would follow all house rules.Despite this, the host canceled our reservation just hours before check-in due to concerns about “potential partying” based on previous experiences with other guests. The cancellation was not based on anything we said or did, but rather assumptions made about our booking because we were local.This left our group scrambling to find alternative accommodations at the last minute and caused significant stress and inconvenience. I understand hosts may have concerns based on past experiences, but contacting guests outside the platform, referencing their home address, and canceling a same-day reservation based on assumptions was unacceptable and extremely disappointing.
