We loved our visit to this mountain cabin in the woods! The property, itself, is so impressive with lots of windows and a charming ambiance! Decorated in perfect mid-century modern with updated appliances, it offered comfort at the highest level. We had everything we needed, ans our host was very available. We hope to come back, soon!
For my birthday my boyfriend, dog and I stayed at this beautiful cabin in Idyllwild. I'll start off by saying, WOW! The cabin is tucked away into the mountains and less than a 10 minute drive from town. Right as we arrived we noticed the incredible deck with string lights and tons out outdoor seating and ended up spending most of our afternoons hanging outside. Not only was the deck perfect for our dog to have extra space to play, but the perfect place to watch the most INCREDIBLE sunset!! We walked to the kitchen and the host had a welcoming not with a bottle of wine for us to have which was so sweet! The inside was really cool and had some great furniture pieces that made us feel right at home. Out of the two bedrooms, we stayed in the room with the bathroom connected and the bed was SO comfortable. Another great addition was seeing a family of deer both mornings on our walk right in the front yard!! We were right in the middle of nature and everyday was so quiet and so serene. We had the most amazing experience here, it was the perfect little staycation ! I highly recommend this particular cabin for anyone looking to escape to the mountains and looking for peace and quiet with the most beautiful surroundings!
This is such an incredible property. Located high on the hill offering incredible views, and daily visits from the herd of local deer. One word of caution - if you are traveling with a dog, keep in mind that the terrain is extremely hilly and requires someone with an above average fitness level to walk the neighborhood. Other than that, it's just perfect. Thank you for letting us stay there!
The house is lovely and the deck is terrific. It was comfortable and peaceful and very clean. Because it is on a steep hill, walking anywhere directly from the house wasn't really feasible, but it is a quick and easy drive into town and to local hikes. It was exactly the getaway I needed!
We loved the feel of this cabin. It was well equipped with everything we needed and exactly as pictured. The decor and furnishing were so cute we loved it. Oh and the mattresses were SOOO comfy!
The house is very cozy & comfortable. We really loved having a fully stocked kitchen to cook in.The large deck is perfect for lounging with cocktails in the afternoon while enjoying the beautiful views. The decor in the home is beautiful. We really loved the artistic flair. The home was very clean & and the mid-century updates were perfect!
We wanted to get out of LA to get our dog away from the fireworks. The place was great! Lots of trees that also blocked the neighbors but not the sunset. Great big deck and nice and quiet area. Very relaxing. Would definitely stay again.
The house is even better in person than in the photos! The large windows allow plenty of natural light to pour in and provide beautiful views. We spent a lot of time enjoying the deck and watching the deer that would visit daily. The kitchen is well-stocked and the beds were very comfy. The gas fireplace was so nice and heated the place well for chilly morning and evenings. The place was clean, well designed, and communication with host was excellent. We stayed for a week and it really felt like home, we wished we could stay longer. It is one of the best rentals we have ever stayed at - Definitely our favorite in Idyllwild!
This charming cabin tucked away in a quiet Idyllwild neighborhood was the perfect choice for our peaceful Christmas get away. Check-in was a cinch and the home was cozy and warm when we arrived late Christmas Eve. Some of the things that really stood out to us during our stay included:1. THE VIEW! Watching the sun set each evening was absolutely stunning. The views from the balcony are phenomenal. And even when it was too chilly to enjoy the views outside, we didn't miss a moment because we were able to enjoy from inside through the expansive picture windows. 2. The patio deck -- since we traveled with our dog, having a spacious and securely fenced in patio was a big plus. He got a kick out of watching squirrels, birds and even deer from the patio. I could definitely picture summer holidays spent barbecuing and relaxing there.3. A well-equipped kitchen -- it was a pleasure to prepare a few holiday meals here, which is something I was initially apprehensive about. From quality cookware and all the appliances you could possibly require (Feel like baking? there's even a Kitchen Aid stand mixer!) to the pantry staples I forgot to bring, this home left me wanting for nothing.Beyond the home exceeding our expectations, my interactions with the host were friendly and smooth. All the information we needed was provided timely and we received prompt responses to any messages. We would definitely return!
Our family (with dog) stayed 3 nights. We have two college age daughters who shared the queen bed in the 2nd bedroom. All four of us appreciate design and modern architecture. This place is not too fancy, but it has good mid century post and beam bones and the owners have good taste. They have furnished with simple modern furniture and rugs. There is HVAC upgrades so it was warm enough for our winter nights. A beautiful newer wide plank oak flooring throughout. new appliances and plumbing fixtures. old period bathroom tile and plumbing fixtures, but all tasteful and clean and functional. nice linens and down filled duvets. (we brought our own but didn't need them!) kitchen had everything we needed, also with some basic pantry items and fridge condiments. We brought a sharp kitchen knife, but didn't need to. There's blender, stand mixer, nice baking pans and excellent pots and pans. (Important for us because we cook and bake) There was filtered water in a pitcher. Maybe bring your own blue-tooth speaker. It seemed like they had something like this, but we couldn't figure it out. I was distracted from the novel I brought by the excellent modern architecture books on the shelf. We are coming back for sure!

We were very comfortable during our stay. Location of this home was so private, and the view could not be better. Enormous deck area was easy to sit at to admire the stunning sunset. It was very easy to control the indoor temperature. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you could possibly need, including the stand mixer and all sorts of utensils and glassware. The bedding was so plush and comfortable comparable to our Ritz Carlton stay. We would definitely go back.
