Welcome to the delightful gîte of 'Ma Joie de Vivre' (my joy of life)!
This is your chance to be one of the first to experience the beauty of our cozy holiday home! Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to make lasting memories in this lovely property.
Our 110 m2 holiday home, which was once the house of a farmer's family, is full of authentic elements and can accommodate up to six guests.
Inside, you'll find a cozy living kitchen complete with a stove, oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, coffee maker, kettle, and toaster.
The living room includes a sofa and round table, while the beautiful garden is the perfect spot to relax and unwind under the large chestnut tree on hot days.
Our gîte is proud to be environmentally friendly and committed to reducing our carbon footprint.
We have implemented several green initiatives to achieve this goal, including the installation of solar panels that provide a significant portion of our energy needs.
Additionally, we offer our guests the choice between water from the on site well or from the municipality. This allows guests to make an environmentally conscious decision and helps to conserve this precious resource.
We also encourage our guests to participate in our sustainability efforts by providing recycling bins and encouraging them to conserve water and energy during their stay.
By choosing to stay at our gîte, guests can feel good about supporting a business that is committed to sustainability and protecting the environment. We believe that every small change can make a big difference, and we are proud to do our part to create a more sustainable future for all.
Come and experience the joy of life at Ma Joie de Vivre!
* During the first months of 2023 a swimming pool will be added for guest use.

About the host
Hosted by Karin & Patrick Feiner

In 2020 we, Karin & Patrick, fell in love with the Dordogne during a holiday in France. When we returned to the Netherlands, we quickly decided to sell our house on Kaag Island and move permanently to Jumilhac-le-Grand and the surrounding area!
Since the summer of 2022 we have been sitting in our place in the old farmhouse from 1834 on La Jarousse & we refer to our yard as 'Ma joie de vivre'. A pun on Karin's surname 'Majoie', which means 'my joy'. In this way, 'Ma Joie de vivre' becomes a place where we can share our joie de vivre with others.
We lived in our nice, cozy gîte for four months during the renovation of our own house. We enjoyed the sun on the terrace under the large chestnut tree and all the tranquility that this environment brings. Later we also warmed up in front of the fireplace by the stove in the fall.
Our two West Siberian Laikas also feel completely at home now that they can run around in our large fenced pasture. We hope that our guests will enjoy the gîte just as much!
We welcome you with open arms to our new home. Dogs are very welcome.
Healthy regards,
Karin & Patrick
