About this property

Stunning Marsh & Ocean Views... Freshly renovated in 2023!

Our Santorini cottage has sweeping views of the marsh and Folly River with peeks of the ocean just across the street. Fully remodeled and newly offered as a vacation rental, Santorini Cottage features a new gourmet kitchen, spacious ceramic tile bathrooms, two large covered porches facing ocean and marsh, a large outdoor shower overlooking the marsh, and three comfortable bedrooms each complete with smart televisions, luxury linens, dreamcloud matresses and ceiling fans.

Located on the quiet east end of the island, we are just a short walk to the Morris Island light house and directly across the street from the beach. Sunset views from the rear deck are some of the best anywhere on the island !! As this home is located directly next door to our primary residence, parties involving guests not already sleeping in the home are not allowed.

Seriously sublime Santorini cottage

We can't say enough about this charming Folly Beach house. The basics--extremely clean, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds with nice linens, a host that was hospitable and easy to communicate with. Beyond the basics--gorgeous views of the marsh from the back deck; wonderful, peaceful location close to beach access. The house is comfortable but also tasteful and well-decorated. We loved being there, had a wonderful time and can't wait to visit again.

perfect for a quick getaway

the property was very nice inside and out. The owners have clearly put a lot of effort into transforming the interior - everything is new and lovely. The kitchen was fully stocked, the views off the back deck, over the marsh were great, and the beach across the street was convenient. We were sad to leave after such a short time, but we would love to return for our next trip to the area.

Dreamy Beach Cottage

From the moment we drove up, the curated modern comfort of this cottage welcomed us. Airy and spacious living spaces with multiple outdoor options. Views of the marsh were out of a painting. Gorgeously stocked kitchen and bathrooms. An elegant coastal vibe that was footsteps from the quiet expansive beach on this end of the island. Friendly owners right next door provided info when we needed it. We can’t wait to return.

Santorini was beautiful! Michael and Steven did an amazing job, and they were amazing hosts! This property is pure luxury!! No detail was forgotten in the restoration of this amazing river/beach cottage.. The long panoramic marsh views out the backside of the home was breathtaking! When we weren’t at the beach just across the street my children loved fly fishing at high tide and reading their books on the front porch with the ocean breezes in the evening.. It was a dream 10 day vacation.

Fall Break College Visit Tour

This was the end to our GA, S. Car. college tour, and it was wonderful. Exactly what we needed. I am so happy our family has discovered Folly Beach, the Marsh sunsets, and this beautiful home so close to Charleston. This home really is lovely. The beach is right across the street, and being at the end of Folly it is much more isolated than Folly's Pier location. Our hosts were extremely attentive, always eager to share locals' suggestions. Thank you for a wonderful vacation. We look forward to our return. Fingers crossed our Junior chooses a school nearby!:)

Comfortable and Cozy for our little family

We are a family of 5. 2 grandparents, 2 parents, and a 4-year-old. We stayed for 3 nights for a larger group family holiday gathering in Folly. Santorini Cottage is beautifully decorated, yet very casual. It was so very comfortable for our family. The furniture selection and arrangement in the large living space allows for multiple activities. The kitchen is so well laid out and well-appointed. Very easy for 2 or 3 or 4 to work simultaneously in the kitchen. Bedrooms and mattresses are exceptionally comfortable. Easy access to the beach across the street, and beautiful view of the marsh. We liked being on the far quiet end of the island — still less than 10-minute drive to center island. We loved our few days in this lovely home and would enjoy coming back in warmer weather so that we can sit on the great porches. Steven and Michael are excellent and responsive hosts. Highly recommend Santorini Cottage!

Loved our stay!

Beautiful cottage on the quieter end of the beach - which we loved. Equipped with all necessary amenities plus. Lovely furnishings, newly updated. Our favorite was sitting on the back porch and watching the sunset every evening. Truly can’t wait to come back.

Amazing!

This was our sixth stay in Folly and by far our favorite. The house is amazing - well appointed, great furnishings and incredible views. It felt just like being at home. We will definitely be back!

I am born and raised in Charleston and Michael and I moved to Folly several years ago. Our primary home is located near the end of East Ashley Avenue. Our other Folly rentals include The Daffodil Cottages Compound (Big Daffodil 3br/2bth, Daffodil Wee 1br/1bth and Daffodil Little 1br/1bth) and a cottage in the east end know as Marshmellow 2br/2bth. In downtown Charleston, we have 3 apartments located near our restaurant Stella's, that are available for 30 day furnished rentals as well! If any questions at all about any of these other properties or the area, do not hesitate to reach out. We love Charleston and our island and are always excited to share!

Santorini Cottage is located directly next door to our primary home. Our 2023 renovation included all new flooring, walls, mechanical systems, mini-split AC units in every room, gourmet kitchen, spa bathrooms and all new furniture and bedding.
