Enjoy this home’s grand view of the San Juan and La Plata Mountains outside the town of Durango, CO and conveniently located 3 miles from Durango - La Plata County Airport. This 3 bedroom/2 bath home will offer you a quiet, relaxing home away from home.

Secluded Home with San Juan Views, a 1,600-square-foot custom home, sits on a lightly timbered knoll with room to explore 35 private acres or just quietly enjoy the pond, covered patio, young orchard, and outdoor fire pit. A 6 person hot tub with a full mountain view awaits.

Built in 2014, this modern home has an open, single-story floor plan with hardwood floors, granite-slab countertops, and a fully equipped kitchen that opens into a great room/dining space. Enjoy dinner in the dining area which comfortably seats 6 people with additional seating at the island, or head out for a quiet meal and sunshine on the covered patio complete with patio furnishings and a propane grill.

At night, curl up in two guest bedrooms with queen beds with access to a full bath. The master bedroom boasts more mountain views from the king-size bed and glass doors and includes an attached full bath with Indian marble tub/shower.

Enjoy everything the Durango area has to offer - downtown shops and restaurants only 25 minutes away - or an afternoon at Vallecito Reservoir or Lake Nighthorse. Venture out to the surrounding small towns of Bayfield and Ignacio, or make it a day trip and visit the beautiful Mesa Verde National Park and its famous cliff dwellings only an hour away. If you're looking for winter sports, don't forget to try out downhill skiing and tubing at Purgatory Ski Resort. For groomed cross-country skiing trails, check out the activities at Purgatory Nordic Center, Hillcrest Golf Course, or Vallecito Reservoir. Spectacular views!

You'll feel like you won the lottery when you walk into this beautiful and cozy home, with an amazing kitchen and plenty of space. Windows everywhere supply breathtaking views of the mountains. They provide you with soft towels, comfy bedding, local treats to welcome you, and everything you need to relax and start your vacation! They also just added a cool yurt for even more entertainment space!

Magical Mountain Christmas

We stayed here over the Christmas break & skied Purgatory. Although it was a hike to the mountain, this house was so perfect it made the drive doable. From before check in Darin & Emily were so kind and hospitable, even setting up a Christmas tree for us to enjoy during our stay. The decor is so classy & tasteful but comfortable enough you can relax and feel right at home. The house was equipped with ALL the things needed to be comfortable from the kitchen necessities, laundry supplies, pristine linens down to the stocked shower/bath toiletries. The location is serious when it says “secluded” but the views are priceless. We even had some visitors (deer) one morning during breakfast. We would recommend this house and have already discussed visiting again in the summer.
