Amazing Stay and Location

My family had an amazing stay at this bungalow. It is very clean and offered everything we needed for our stay in Newport. The beach is very close and there are plenty of restaurants and convenience store within walking distance.

No one pays attention to a one star rating. I believe the owners are well intentioned. Hence our two-star rating. However, our experience was not good. We were very happy when our rental ended. The property and the co-located properties are very well located. Easy access to Newport and Easton Beach are excellent attributes. Our difficulty started immediately upon entering the property. Lysol could not mask the musty, moldy smell of the building. After contacting the owner’s representative, they said the fireplace tends to smell that way after a heavy rain storm.That, unfortunately, while true, was not the real problem. The closet with the washer dryer was also the problem. We cleaned the accumulated mold out of the washer and removed accumulated lint out of the dryer (in fact, we have the same w/d in our condo at home). This diminished but did not eliminate the problem, so we gutted out 3 nights there. We had other problems, but not important enough to mention here. Be prepared to clean the rental to the best of your ability and hope for the best. Also, maybe bring your own pillows and purchase VRBO Care or travel insurance.

This cottage is perfect for 2! Excellent location - close to beaches, restaurants, Newport - yet the neighborhood is very quiet. Parking is easy, check-in was easy - all in all this cottage was a great home base for our short vacation.

Great Place To Stay in Newport!!

Went to Rhode Island for the weekend and I had never been before! My friend and I had a great time and were super comfortable with all the conveniences included!

The location of this house was our favorite feature - it was convenient to downtown Newport and walkable to Easton’s beach. The listing said it was equipped for 5 guests, with a trundle bed and pull out coach in addition to the main bed. There were no linens for the trundle or pull out coach. On our second night, we were unable to get the air conditioning to turn on, and the space was very humid and warm. We could not get the tv to turn on, which wasn’t a big deal to us but slightly inconvenient.
