Appartment was in a good location. Very clean. Everything you need to cook. Right at edge of town which was great. No off street parking. Downside for me laundry detergent used on sheets and towels to strong. Floral smell in appt to strong. Constant thumping from 3rd floor and heat in front bedroom really doesnt work. Expected a little more for the price
This apartment was in the perfect spot, easily walkable to anywhere downtown without being right in the craziness of the heart of downtown. Steve and Amanda were easy to get in touch with and always responded quickly although we didn’t need to talk to them much because check in was easy and everything was great in the apartment. Highly recommend!
We were looking for a place that was close to the restaurants and square. It was ideally located for that. It was smaller, but it was fine because we weren't there that often. I thought it met all of our needs for that trip.
This was defiantly a very convenient spot-close to Acadia and the town. We were Abel to walk around at night to shop sand dinner. Acadia was just a 5-10 minute drive to the various hot spots. We had a great time
The place is cute and was very clean. Great location for walking to everything. Great restaurants and bars. It is street parking and you do have to pay between the hours of 8am and 6pm.
There were 3 of us traveling for the week so we were quite happy with set up. Beds were comfy & there were plenty of pillows. There were only 2 chairs, but Steve was quick to bring us a 3rd so we could sit at the table for breakfast & games. We took advantage of the games, puzzles & books that were provided.
The location was perfect walking distance to the harbor & all the restaurants. With having a kitchen, we stocked up at Hannaford's and made breakfast every morning. There's a lot of good restaurants to choose from all within walking distance too.
We were visiting to go to Acadia & the Hulls Cove entrance was about 10 minutes away. We spent 5 days in the park, having planned to whale watch the 6th day. Unfortunately mother nature didn't have the same plan.
Parking is a little confusing but after a day we figured it out. There is a way to get a parking pass from the town or you can pay at the meters.
Overall we would certainly stay here again! Hope to be back someday.

The place is clean and cozy with a convenient location. Our host is very responsive, accommodating, and the listing is as described. It was also really nice the host let us bring our well behaved cat with some extra cleaning fee. There’s a lot of parking around, though we didn’t want to park in private resident parking areas and opted for paid street parking. My only suggestion for improvement would be to replace the bedroom curtains with blackout curtains since the existing ones were small and sheer. Would recommend!
Amazingly located within walking distance to bar harbor and 5 minutes to Acadia national park. We were ecstatic to find this comfortable two bedroom vrbo with high functioning utilities and a kitchen that was well equipped for our cooking needs. The rental unit allowed us to get cleaned off and well rested after each long day of exploring mount desert. However no place is perfect, we were surprised to find out how thin the walls were; it is very easy to hear other people in the building going about their business. Regardless of this fact, Steven responded well to our questions and was very accommodating to us. When we return to bar harbor, if we see his name on any listings, we will feel very comfortable choosing to stay at his vrbos.
This was a great location for my wife and I with our dog. IT was an easy walk to the park as well as all other downtown shops. The apt itself was clean and had everything we needed.
Really enjoyed staying here and so close to the shops and restaurants of Bar Harbor and far enough on “outskirts” to quickly head to Acadia NP. Property manager was responsive and friendly on the app. Would totally stay here again!
Great location to walk to all the restaurants and shops in Bar Harbor. Great way to enjoy all Acadia has to offer and live like a local. Traveled with our toddler and dog as well.
Generally, the accommodations were excellent. However, there were 2 issues with the toilet. It had to be flushed manually, and the toilet seat was broken and wouldn't stay secure when using it.
We enjoyed our stay at this apartment in Bar Harbor, Maine. A few items to note since the listing isn’t very comprehensive.
Pros: Location, close to Bar Harbor and walking distance to the shore path, restaurants and shops. Also close to multiple entrances to Acadia National Park. Full size kitchen, two bedrooms (queen beds) and full bath. Pet friendly with plenty of green space and places to enjoy a walk.
Coco Latte is a couple blocks down and has online ordering, which is perfect for grab and go in the morning.
Cons: No parking. Yes, there is street parking, but it is $2 per hour and depending on the times you come and go, it won’t always be close to the apartment. The slate pad in the front of the apartment is not a private parking area. Something we wish we had known. Download the park mobile app so you don’t have to run down to pay for parking in the morning when you wake up.
The AC units are only in the bedrooms, which was fine with cooler weather, but could be an issue in warmer weather. They are also not installed correctly. Meaning in one of the bedrooms someone could just push in the AC and enter the bedroom from the fire escape stairs. The bedrooms also do not have black out curtains. The curtains in the left side bedroom are better than the right side bedroom. In the summer, the sun rises before 6am.
The table only seats two people, so if you family is larger, someone has to sit on the couch to eat.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay.
