This is the perfect rental for a romantic getaway!! Loved the firepit and the hottub. It is summer, so we didnt get to use the fireplace, but the cabin is cozy! Would love to stay again when in the area.
The cabin was very clean, the host was attentive to questions, the view was so peaceful and serene then the cherry on top was the hot tub. Such a perfect place for an ideal retreat away.
This place is gorgeous! We had a relaxing 2 days. The bed is so comfy, the porch is beautiful for sitting. We enjoyed some fishing in the pond, my husband caught a nice bass. We will be back!
Had a relaxing time celebrating our 30th anniversary. Loved the hot tub and pond. My husband taught me to fish. And I got 5 fish in one day, and he good a gigantic catfish.
This was everything I dreamed of and more. So quiet& peaceful. Loved the greeting from the cats! We brought our cat so it was nice company for her. The cabin had everything we needed. Next year I'll definitely pack lighter. The jacuzzi tub, amazing & relaxing! We slept like babies in the king size bed! Here's to our new getaway !
We had a wonderful relaxing time at the cabin. Just what we needed. The cabin is rustic but modernized with all the conference. The details in decorating made us feel like we took a trip back in time. Kitchen was equipped with everything you needed. Hot tub was very nice. Surroundings around the cabin were very peaceful. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you !
A couples paradise!! Lovely, quiet, private, warm and cozy. The hot tub INSIDE was a bonus for sure. My husband loved being able to take the newest family member, Jameson our puppy and fishing so close from the cabin. Also the house is Close to a large famous smorgasbord. Definitely booking again real soon. Thank you
If you like rustic (and cats,) you will love this cabin. We were very happy with everything about the cabin. The only negative, if I had to mention one, would be the proximity to the turnpike. The truck noise, while not loud, is there. It's never truly quiet. Not a criticism. It is what it is. Not many places in the eastern U.S. where you can get true quiet. The cabin was clean. The bed was comfortable. The porch was fantastic. We spent most of our time on the porch with the cats. There is a hot tub, but I can't comment on it since we didn't use it.Check in and check out were flawless, and communication with Lisa was excellent. Five stars. Will definitely stay again when/if we are in the area.

Thanks for your great review! We are currently trying to find new homes for the wild kittens. 😊
I wanted to take my wife somewhere nice for her birthday. A break from the stresses of life and to have some alone time with one another. Something we haven't had for years. It was an amazing stay for my wife and I. We enjoyed it so much that we already booked it again for my birthday in November. The property was beautiful, quiet and the cabin was wonderful in every way.
The cabin is exactly as shown in the pictures. It was so relaxing and peaceful. Enjoyed shopping in nearby towns and even bought an Amish quilt. Shop around for the best deals. To enjoy the fireplace you need to get your own firewood. That is my only issue about the entire experience. Would highly recommend this cabin.
The cabin is our yearly get away love every minute of staying here!

About the host
Hosted by Lisa Martin
My name is Lisa Martin & my husband is Merv. We both love old log cabins & peaceful settings. It had been a dream of ours to restore a old log cabin. We built this cabin to rent out & share with others. The cabin was orginally from Manhiem. We numbered the logs tore it down & moved them to this property. My husband & son built the cabin & set it back up. Every minute of spare time they had they worked on it. It took around 1 year to complete. We would love you to come & stay!
Why they chose this property
This is an wonderful place to enjoy the woods and nature. It is peaceful & secluded. It is a serene place for a restored old log cabin.
What makes this property unique
We enjoy the solitude & wildlife while staying at the cabin. It is a great place to unwind! Enjoy sitting on the rocking chairs on the front porch overlooking the pond. Listen to the birds, watch for the deer, in the spring listen to the peepers.
