Quiet and peaceful but close to downtown and multiple ONP locations! Historic house is filled with amazing pictures about the evolution of Port Angles. We enjoyed our stay.
The house was just as described. Very clean with comfy beds and good shower. Enjoyed deer roaming neighborhood . Owner was very quick to respond and the house was well furnished and stocked . Highly recommend
This place was great!! Well stocked with everything we needed to cook and checkin was so easy. It was easy to find too. We loved seeing the deer in the yard. Great place to come back to after exploring all day. Would definitely recommend!
The History House was the perfect home away from home as we explored the Olympic Peninsula. It was clean, comfortable and located in a quiet neighborhood. The house is well stocked and cozy. We also learned so much about the history of the area. The check in process was so easy.
Totally fine for two couples, as long as you're fine sharing one bathroom. (Shower, nice and forceful!) Very convenient to downtown restaurants, groceries, Hurricane Ridge, Lake Crescent, Ruby Beach and Hoh Rainforest. Kitchen is well outfitted and living room is comfortable for lounging. Grateful for washer/dryer. Appreciate keyless entry.
I stayed there with 2 friends and I slept on the couch, which wasn't ideal. I would look harder next time for a house a bit larger so we could each have a bed.
We had a great time at the history house. It was cozy and comfortable! The location was fun, we could see the bay in the distance and enjoyed watching the local deer play.
An absolutely wonderful place. Shireen is super friendly and helpful with tips for excursions and dining. We had everything we wanted in the house. Very convenient location. There are deer in the neighborhood that act like they own the place, totally used to people. Too bad I can only give them 5 stars.
Traveled up from California for a mountain bike race, NW Cup, at Dry Hill. Perfect amount of space and amenities. Close to everything! Would stay again, highly recommend.
We came to Port Angeles to visit family and loved our stay. The residence is clean and tidy with plenty of bedding and towels. The neighborhood is very quiet and nice. Close to the water. We would definitely stay there again.
This was a quick stay on our Pacific Northwest tour.
Home had everything we need and a welcoming neighborhood.
We sat on the front porch a bit and enjoyed the weather as we watched deer walk around the neighborhood.
Perfect for 3 adults and my 9 year old!
This property was a pleasant surprise in the older neighborhood area. The owners have done a wonderful job with the property sharing a taste of the past with the decor. The owner also shared a bit of personal history about the home, making it even more inviting. Highly recommend if you are staying in the Port Angeles area.
Pictures do not do this house justice. We absolutely loved our stay here and would return again!
We are a family of four (kids' age: 14 &11) and this was one of our stops on a 2-week road trip we took through the PNW. The location was a quick 5-minute drive from the Ferry Terminal and 10 minutes to the entrance of Olympic National Park. Shireen was very responsive and helpful upon check-in and during our stay.
The History House was cozy and comfortable. The host responded quickly when I texted with questions or concerns. The location was great - in a neighborhood with a view of the Straits from the deck. The only glitches were: 1) the wifi worked only occasionally 2) My elderly father who needs to sleep in a reclining position could not bring any of the recliners to upright without assistance, so we had to find another place to stay.
This was a perfect home base for exploring Olympic National Park. Our family of 4 enjoyed the clean, well-equipped, comfortable house. The sunny deck and views of the water were fabulous. We would definitely stay here again!
Check-in was really easy and straightforward. Kitchen is loaded with amenities, utensils, and silverware. The outside patio has a great view of the ocean and the mountains. Overall, we love the place a lot. Location is great as well to Olympic national Park.
