Welcome to my home in the heart of the Catskills!
Come explore, adventure, and escape in the comfort of this charming chalet-style home set on the babbling Emory Brook. Emory House features wide-open spaces, dark skies, and easy access to skiing, hiking, mountain biking, swimming, cute downtowns, art galleries, and great local eats.
5 minutes from Belleayre Mountain, 30 minutes from Woodstock, and 40 minutes from Hunter and Windham.
The adventure is here, the wifi is strong.
The space
The property sits nestled next to a mountain brook on a quiet gravel road close to town. The main space includes a well-appointed kitchen (no need to bring your own knives), a large dining room (the table can be expanded to seat 10), and a comfortable living space with a view of the pond. There is a second living space above the garage featuring a new bathroom with an expansive shower, a kitchenette for basic cooking, and a modern home theater with a PS5.
There are numerous bedrooms, the primary suite with a king size bed, a bedroom on the ground floor with a nearby bathroom, a bed in the loft featuring a fully renovated bathroom with a spacious shower, multiple beds downstairs, and the loft couch features a pull-out if necessary.
The house easily fits two families with children.
Finally, there is a spacious back deck with a grill and loungers, and a pinball machine in the basement, give it a try! (Waterworld! What's a weekend without 3 kilos of pure dirt?!)

Hi! I really love hosting, I've put my soul into this house, and have appointed it with lots of personal touches, hundreds of books, records, all that I hope will put guests at ease. This is not a house where you will feel like you're in a hotel room, this is my home, and I want you to enjoy it.
What makes this property unique
My home is unique in a few ways - the most important being the two ends of the house are quite far from one another, if you're coming with two families, everyone will feel like they have total privacy. Plenty of room to spread out and relax.
