Comfortable home in the heart of the Keweenaw!

Renovated my grandparents house in the quiet town of Mohawk. Mohawk is centrally located between Copper Harbor and Houghton. It’s a great place to start your Keweenaw adventures! The snowmobile or ATV trail is a block away and Gratiot River park is about 15 minutes, to the shore of Lake Superior.

This house was the perfect spot from which to explore the Keweenaw Peninsula. It was comfortable, the kitchen was set up and stocked. We enjoyed the fire pit and evenings on the front porch. Highly recommend.

David’s house was the perfect place for our weekend in the Keweenaw. I met my grandson and 2 of his roommates who are students at NMU. The house was so comfortable in many ways. The kitchen table was a favorite place for us gather while cooking and enjoying conversation. The chess board and comfy spaces in the living area were a big hit. The kitchen was large and well stocked. The fire pit was also a huge hit. Beds were comfortable. The location was perfect. We enjoyed Eagle Harbor Brockway overlook, Copper Harbor, and Estivant Pines from easy access. It was a great place, and I will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful historic miner's house in a perfect location for exploring the Keweenaw. It's close to everything we wanted to see and do. The host is friendly, responsive, and very accommodating.We happened to visit during an unusually hot and humid week so there were times we wished the house had air conditioning. That's not something we'd normally expect to need in the Keweenaw, though, and the owners provide plenty of fans. The house also stays cool for quite a while, so it was very manageable.We especially enjoyed the spacious rooms, the well-equipped kitchen with plenty of appliances and utensils, and relaxing around the fire ring in the evenings. This was our second stay here, and we hope to be back again soon!

The host was easy to contact, and the house was clean and well-stocked! It was a great home base to ski at Mount Bohemia and visit some restaurants in Houghton. The driveway was cleared when we got there which was very convenient. The price was right, too!
