The property is accessed via a short 1.5-mile unpaved gravel road, which is common for homes in the Carolina mountains. This scenic drive adds about 4 minutes to your trip, making the total travel time to Ingles Supermarket and downtown Black Mountain approximately 8 minutes. The road is regularly graded and safe for all vehicles so two wheel drive vehicles are perfectly safe for travel to/from the property. While it’s a bit different from city driving, the peaceful journey through nature is well worth it, offering a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of urban traffic.
Your Safety and Comfort:
We take your safety seriously. All bedding and towels are thoroughly cleaned between stays, and we disinfect frequently touched surfaces like light switches, doorknobs, and remotes before your arrival.
Explore Western North Carolina:
Discover endless activities, from hiking the Appalachian Trails to exploring the historic Biltmore Estate, the largest privately owned home in America. Enjoy local wineries, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and adventures like hot air balloon rides, fly fishing, horse back riding, zip lining, waterfall hikes and white-water rafting. As well as antiquing, golfing, spa days, local craft breweries and more. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful retreat or outdoor excitement, there’s something for everyone in every season.

About the host
Hosted by Sherri Mansell
Larry and Sherri live in south Florida with 4 children ages 22 to 35. Their parents live in NC and Georgia, and the family travels to western carolinas as much as possible. They love the outdoor hiking, boating and many other activities.
Why they chose this property
We wanted to be close to Asheville, a city with an airport, university and culture events, and also close to both parents in Geogia and NC. We love the quaint town of Black Mtn with great restaurants.
What makes this property unique
Biggest benefit is being only 10 minutes to town for food/gas/etc...and 20 minutes to the city of Asheville, BUT having a peaceful property with beautiful views and feeling like we are away from it all!!!
