Ocean side!

Fabulous location and views! Nice chaise lounges and grassy area. I highly recommend this condo! Could be hot in the summer though due to west facing windows! Fans available though. Kitchen well appointed! Just beautiful!

Great location, needs updating

We enjoyed our stay, the location was great. We loved watching the sunsets and collecting rocks and shells. The property is dated inside and the tub is slow to drain. There is limited stuff in the kitchen and no dishwasher. Overall, we had a great time and would stay again.

Wonderful Location

Amazing location and view of the beach/ocean. Steps away from the sand. Good amenities are available. Short walk to nearby Carlsbad. Could use a little refresh like fixing some peeling walls and getting the firepits working. More curtains to cover the glass wall by the kitchen for more privacy would be welcome.

Love it

Who doesn’t love being right on the beach and able to walk to Carlsbad’s restaurants and shopping. Over the years we have stayed in all three units of this property and we are already looking to rebook again. The units are clean, quiet and picturesque. Tons of amenities. Management is awesome. Barefoot morning beach walks, vibrant ocean sunsets, the sounds of the surf… Five plus stars.

I think the first thing you need to know is this property is not glamorous. It’s borderline falling apart. There is nothing nice inside. The kitchen is borderline unusable. The laundry is communal and not in the unit and you’re not even supplied laundry soap. The furniture is super cheap. The access to the beach for the public is right next to you so you have strangers walking back-and-forth.It is a triplex, and the walls are paper thin. It sounds like the other people staying there are inside your unit.I had unreasonable expectations about the interior would be. However, the beach itself is phenomenal. The sunsets were stunning. The access to this beach from this property was amazing. They supplied lots of beach toys, which we loved.I would come back and stay here again, but just know that you’re paying for access to the beach and the beach itself. The property is not nice. It needs a lot of upgrade, and it would be nice for this amount of money if things in the kitchen were nicer, that kind of thing.Location 10000/10.Actual inside of property … 5/10

Beachfront

Great spot, nice to have the ocean right there. Owners wouldnt let us reschedule when we asked due to the bad storm. Turned out ok but was surprised there was no consideration for our request.

Beach stay

Beautiful sounds of waves and unparalelled beach access. Pictures were accurate, and the best views were from the ditchen and dining area. The outside private patio that goes with this unit was a nice bonus. The only negative was the lack of equipment in the otherwise stocked kitchen....dinner on night one was a challenge with only one fork for four people! Coffee the next morning was challenging with one coffee mug! Contacted the support people in the early morning, and the problem remedied by five that evening.

June Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location and surrounding area was great. Disappointed in the lack of attention to cleaning as the windows clearly hadn't been cleaned prior to our arrival as evidence by the finger notes that showed up each morning and cloudy film. Providing a 6 inch squeegee when asking about options for window cleaning was a laughable insult to a guest paying for a 5 night stay. Kitchen fairly well stocked, but the roach walking through the floor wasn't ideal. Lack of beach toys and only two beach chairs was much less than expected.

Great location!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time! The unit is in a great location. Our teenage kids were able to walk to town. This is an old school, multi unit beach property that has been beat up by the salty sea. But truly, who cares. You're on vacation and outside the entire time. We met the property manager and he was delightful. The unit did everything we needed it to do; warm showers, clean beds, enough kitchen supplies for breakfasts & lunches, washer/dryer. My suggestion would be for managemnt to to replace the bath towels/wash cloths and add more of them.

Ocean Getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property had a large yard that was steps away from the beach and crashing waves. The restaurants and coffee shops were only a 5 minute walk away. The property itself provided all the views that ocean lovers can enjoy. The kitchen and 2 bedrooms with bright sitting space gave us a a little beach home away from home.

Amazing location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Probably one of the most beautiful locations on the planet, the house on Ocean Dr was the perfect beachside retreat. Could be a little noisy if there are guests upstairs, but we’d stay again without hesitation.

Rough on the Beach

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Disappointing entry, unit was not cleaned very well & we felt the online description had been "oversold" as the unit was dated & in rough condition. Lacked basics such as limited towels & closet hangers. The final issue was a circuit breaker that would not reset disabling the use of the kitchen. The management team reactions to these multiple issues were outstanding & they rescued our visit by offering an alternative, more upscale property in Cardiff. While not quite the beachside location we were looking for, the property was convenient & much more comfortable for our group of 4. While the beach location was outstanding, the property itself is tired. It's value is in WHERE it is...NOT WHAT it is. Property Management customer service was prompt, courteous & outstanding...not so for the rental unit.

Not so sure

We arrived after asking about early check in and told they were just so busy. 3 units in the building and we had two. Funny the other unit had no one until the next day so why they couldn't clean our units first is unclear. This unit sleeps 5 and we had the smallest, cheapest table with 2 chairs, no couch (outdoor furniture set in the living room) and then very few kitchen items. We also rented this unit and C so we could connect. The door on that patio is rusted out and won't unlock. Then after 4 nights we get woken up in the morning to construction on the outside of the building. Scaffolding on one whole side and told it would be the whole building while we were there. Never told this when we spent how much. The worst was the 6th day we went to wash dishes and shower before dinner after being at the beach. Guess what no hot water. Called and told this is not an emergency issue and they would try to get someone out there the next day. The lady was rude. Almost 24 hours without hot water and nothing from Vacasa. 6th day also the scaffolding went on the back of the home. Every window you looked out you see it everywhere. Half the yard was not usable. Felt horrible for the workers who were so nice and felt bad and just trying to do a job. Yet I paid how much on the beach for this and no hot water.

Tara, we sincerely apologize for the issues you experienced that detracted from your stay. Please know that it is always our goal to assist guests as quickly and efficiently as possible and we regret this was not the case. We have shared your comments with the local manager and we hope that the compensation you received helped alleviate some of your frustration. We also want you to know that new kitchen items have been added and the door to the patio has been replaced. The living room does have a couch that seats three people and two saucer chairs, but we are sorry if they did not suit your party. We hope that you will give us another chance to better impress you in the future.
