Clean and quaint

I was very happy when I went inside this duplex. It was so clean. It was only me and my friend staying. She is a germaphobe and she couldn’t find anything to complain about.

We had a wonderful stay. This is a great location we love being on the south end of the island. It was an easy 5 minute walk to the beach. We had everything we needed. There's a great little store that has a good selection of food, beverages, and ice cream. The only issue we had was the electronic door lock. Getting in was fine but when leaving we had to hold the door closed to get the lock to engage. The bath towels were nice but the bed sheets leave a little to be desired. We will definitely stay here again.

We had a great time at Topsail Beach. The house is a close walk to the beach and a short drive to local restaurants and attractions as well as Surf City and the mainland. It is good way down the island with the only access to the mainland to the north by Surf City so we were well away from touristy areas. The kitchen was well equipped and the TV was set up with Youtube TV so we could watch our local NFL team on opening night. We really liked the outdoor shower to knock off sand after beach visits to keep that from getting too annoying inside the house. My only complaints are that coffee, cooking oil/spray and shower gels and shampoos were not provided. These items are provided in our local vacation rentals and are not something one would typically pack for a plane trip.

Honestly, would have loved to give 5 stars. But unfortunately I can’t. The main bed was terrible uncomfortable. It was so hard that we thought for a second that we were sleeping on just a boxspring. We emailed customer service for a solution and they were supposed to contact the owners, but we never heard back from anyone. We had to fold blankets underneath the sheet to make it bearable and attempt to get a decent sleep. Other than that, there no other complaints. The place was great for a family of 4.

Beach vacation

The location was excellent. The house was clean overall everything was as we expected however, within a day or two of us arriving and having purchased all of our groceries and marinated meats and poultry to grill while we were there because we were told there was a gas grill when we got there we didn’t see a grill when I contacted the management. They said that in the previous email they sent me they had taken away that amenity at the owners request so that was a big inconvenience for us.
