Welcome to your West End home away from home! This spacious 2 bedroom apartment offers a fresh spot for your next Portland getaway. With plenty of space to stay in and read or work remotely, it is also centrally located within the West End, offering a mix of both urban and residential bliss. You’ll be just a 5-10 minute walk to several local restaurants, have access the heart of the Old Port in 5 minutes by car (15 by foot), or a 10 minute drive to the nearest beach- the choice is yours!
Built in 1875, the space features a separate first floor entrance followed by a living room, full kitchen, breakfast nook, dining area, and petite patio on the second floor. The third floor brings a quirky layout with an open office area, a small reading space and the two bedrooms (one king, one queen). The king bedroom includes an additional open door office for added workspace.
For further flex sleeping, the living room couch pulls out to a full size bed, and there is a tri-fold queen floor mattress (3" thickness) and frame in the smaller bedroom closet.
Unit 2 has its own entrance to the building located on the right side of the driveway. Other tenant/owner entrances are at the front and rear of the building so the driveway is shared for walking tenant access to different entrances. Interaction should be limited with others in the driveway but could occur.
This is a part-time owner occupied building. We are always accessible by phone if guests need anything throughout their stay!

Great space that looks freshly renovated. It was a great location near everything. There were board games and playing cards for us to use. The hosts left fresh ground coffee from a local roaster that was great and extremely appreciated. Beds were comfortable and the space was very much as advertised. And to top it off the shower was great.
We had a wonderful experience at this property and only wished we had stayed longer. This lovely apartment was comfortable, clean, well appointed, and in a central location close to many places within walking or driving distance. The neighborhood was quiet and family friendly. We found the host, Rachael, to be friendly, communicative, generous, and thoughtful. She had even left us a welcome note with small gifts to enjoy during our first time in Maine. We can’t say enough great things about staying here. It was the best rental experience we have had by far and would definitely stay here again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rachel’s lovely completely renovated home. She was most accommodating and responsive. And left nice touches throughout. Much appreciated. She thought of anything you may have forgotten to pack. The photos do not do justice to how nice she decorated. The West End location is very convenient to the highways and to the waterfront and Old Port areas yet it is a quiet, safe area. Be sure to stroll around the West End. The homes and architecture are amazing. We would definitely stay here again if we visit Portland in the future.
We absolutely loved staying here and it was the best VRBO experience ever. The house was like new inside and had everything we needed and more. Rachael had thought of everything. We enjoyed the location and walked to Zu Bakery, and the small grocery store. We even walked to dinner in Old Town and enjoyed the architecture! We would definitely recommend!
My friend and I thought this was the best VRBO we have ever stayed in. As long as you can handle stairs, you can't go wrong here! The host has thought of everything, very easy to communicate with, property was spotless and looked newly decorated, location was great. Not one single complaint from us!
