Bring your boat to put in at the nearby launch and discover all that Northern Neck has to offer via boat or kayak! Pack your fishing gear and explore the Big Wicomico River and the Chesapeake Bay. You can reach the bay in under five minutes from the Shell Landing boat launch, where you’ll find great fishing, amazing views, abundant wildlife, sand bar hopping, and dock-able restaurants! Just 20 mins to Kilmarnock, 1.5 hours from RVA and 2 hours from DC. Come and see historic Reedville at the Captain’s Cottage!
Reedville was once known as the wealthiest town in the United States, due to its large income produced by the fishing industry. Fishing boat captains and factory owners, who made their fortunes from fishing, built homes along what is now Main Street.

Will & Leah are originally from Pennsylvania and moved to Virginia in 2017. They have resided near Charlottesville for the past five years where they enjoy their secluded homestead and hobby vineyard. They have always dreamed of owning a waterfront property, and found a gem in Reedville! They couldn't keep this all for themselves, so they opened up their second home to share what this little town has to offer!

Reedville is a quiet, quaint little town with a rich history in the fishing industry. Main street is just a short walk from Captain's Cottage, where you'll find shopping and local restaurants [Reedville Market and The Crazy Crab]. It's a hidden gem that is held dear to locals and frequent visitors.
New spaces are opening this season! Fawn's Cafe is a stone's throw from Captain's Cottage, and later this season Get Hooked restaurant and bar will open its doors - lucky for you it's right next door!
