Another wonderful stay at this clean, comfortable, beautifully equipped little retreat. Set on a quiet side street in a rural community, the Summer Kitchen is peaceful and secluded but only 15 minutes from the restaurants and sights of Harrisonburg. Excellent bedding on the king bed, a newly renovated bathroom, and a well-equipped kitchen. Looking forward to my next visit!

Such a lovely characterful little place! Private, clean, beautiful well equipped galley kitchen with all the appliances, comfortable bed and newly renovated bathroom. 15 minutes from Harrisonburg restaurants and JMU. The host is accomodating and easy to contact. I'm looking forward to my next stay.

This house is exceptional! Charm of the 1830’s but beautifully redone to make it feel cozy and warm. It is immaculate, has everything you need to stay and the host Dena is extremely friendly, helpful and responsive. My husband and I (along with our dog) spent the night and felt right at home. We want to come back and stay longer next time!

Adorable, charming cottage with a tasteful blend of rustic history (exposed beams, old brick, the giant cooks fireplace) and modern luxury (great water pressure in shower, a top-of-the line kitchen including coffee/tea station, dishwasher, stove, mic, etc.) Absolutely spotless. Bed was very comfy and sleep-inducing. Remote-control heat/cool on each floor was great. Dena kindly welcomed our college son to sleep over on the couch/bed. He did, and we three enjoyed a cozy movie night in! Thoughtfully placed fencing and landscaping maximize guest privacy. Host Dena was informative, welcoming, and friendly at every turn. I kinda want to tell my friends about this storybook cottage -- but also I kinda want to keep it secret so I can keep it to myself for all the Parents Weekends, etc! (LOL. I would 10 out of 10 recommend.) Thank you for a lovely stay!
