Robert`s Creek is an idyllic community on the beautiful Sunshine Coast of British Columbia. There is a quaint cafe called the Gumboot cafe and restaurant close by, as well as a general store open 12 hours a day, and several shops. The cottage is close to the ocean, and many breathtaking hikes nearby such as Cliff Gilker Park or Dakota Ridge for hiking in the summer and snowshoeing or xc skiing in the winter. The nearby towns of Gibsons and Sechelt have every civic amenity and restaurants/stores you would expect in a city.
From the Abode, the trail at the end of the driveway is a short trail that ends at Malcolm Creek which is a cascading rock waterfall in rainy months, with a shallow basin and bridge there. It’s quite beautiful. The trail also connects to Woodley Road which connects to Lower Road which then further connects to several beautiful public beach access points. Try Metcalfe access point off Lower, or Stevens. This time of year it’s pretty low tide and sand bars in certain spots.
We know the Coast well and are happy to recommend activities, including secret beaches and hikes to our guests.
Our cottage can easily accommodate up to 3 vehicles for parking on the property. The community has a municipal bus service, but no Uber or riding sharing services. Taxis are not common either, but can be arranged on advanced notice.

The Abode & Cedar barrel sauna was clean, stylish, quiet and well-appointed. Great sauna and fun bidet-style toilet! Perfect place to celebrate a wedding anniversary.
A nice two week stay, and in a great location close to Gibsons & Sechelt. However poor internal cleanliness, lots of bugs mainly flies, moths and spiders in all rooms. Poor water heat in the shower, but great from all the taps. Mattresses were firm but we brought a topper and it was okay! Overall we enjoyed our time here, but for the price wouldn't stay here again.
We had a great weekend on the Sunshine Coast. The house was in a great location, with a short walk to the beach. Along with being an awesome place to hang out both in the living room & outside by the fire. 10/10!

Great quiet location for a girls getaway! The place had everything we needed especially the well stocked kitchen! It was a little cold for us due to the only heat source being the in floor heating even though we turned it up. We had an unfortunate power outage that lasted the whole night so it was extra cold! Mattresses were too hard for our liking and beds too small! It was a very muddy trek to get to the sauna but it was a great experience and nice after a day of snowshoeing! A short walk to get to the wonderful beach! Overall a great little place and I would recommend it!
Overall we had a good stay. The location is great (10 min walk to the beach) and they clearly put a lot of effort into making a cosy, well-furnished interior. However the whole property was poorly maintained. There were dead moths under the pillow in one room and lots of bugs and spiders in the corners of each room. The outside has a lot of potential but is poorly maintained. Bbq cover was lying wet in the grass, there was an abandoned lawn mower randomly across the driveway, and fittingly uncut grass. For how much this place charges wer wouldn't stay here agan.
