Neighborhood:
This neighborhood is located just 2 blocks from the University of Memphis campus in a safe, quiet neighborhood built in the1940s. Many of our neighbors are college students attending the University of Memphis. Because many of our neighbors are also renters, some of them take great pride in the maintenance of their yard and home, and some don't.

Security Cameras: There are security cameras mounted on the outside of the home at each entrance to the home. These cameras are not pointed in towards the home and are for security reasons.

Very comfortable house for our small family and had everything we needed for a short stay. The host even had books and some toys for the kids! They also loved exploring in the backyard. I grew up on the same street so it was nice being back in the neighborhood. Definitely recommend if you need a place to stay near the University!

Quick Memphis Stay

We were overall very pleased with our stay at this property! The house is located right off the U of M campus, making it convenient if you have a student at the university. The property was very safe, clean, and stocked well with the necessary toiletries and kitchen supplies. We will definitely stay here again when we’re back in the area area!

We can’t fix what we don’t know is a problem. Our cleaner didn’t find any ants before or after your stay and no other guest has found any since then (or reported any issues with cleaning). We’re very responsive hosts and could have fixed the situation immediately, had we been informed. Just something to keep in mind for your next VRBO stay.

Great stay in Memphis

We enjoyed our stay in this Memphis home. The home was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. There was plenty of space for our family of four to spread out. I loved the decor and the outdoor space was inviting. The neighborhood is near the University of Memphis which means good food and shops were very close by. We enjoyed Memphis BBQ at Corky's. Our host Ashling was kind and super helpful. We absolutely would recommend this home in Memphis.

What a joke. Properties like this reflect poorly on VRBO.

Great interior: decent futon style mattresses, clean rooms, and remodeled kitchen. We had to open the ceiling air vents ourselves to circulate air--not easy to do in some cases. The "backyard lounging" was our reason for renting this property, but the furniture was all nasty and broken, fence pickets were broken and missing, lighting was partially blown, a demolished shed covered in sheet plastic was ominous, and the landscaping was overdue. Clearly this is a house that someone is trying to make money off of while they look for a buyer--the real estate "for sale" sign outside was a dead giveaway. We didn't even stay for the second night (although paid for) because we wanted to be somewhere where we COULD lounge somewhere outside.

Brad, we are sorry your stay was not up to expectations. We wish you had reached out to us during your stay and we would have happily addressed/clarified these issues/questions. For example, our home is not for sale, we have owned the home for years and are not looking for nor accepting unsolicited offers. That was a sign place by the HVAC company indicating that the AC had recently been tuned for optimal summer performance. For everything else, we wish you had brought them to our attention and we would have addressed them immediately as we pride ourselves on providing a comfortable and convenient stay for our all guests . We wish safe travels to you and your family!
