An elegant and artsy two-bedroom historic home on a tree lined street in the best neighborhood in Denver! Two blocks from Denver's biggest park, 7 minutes drive from downtown Denver, and walking distance to an incredible coffee shop and restaurants. There is a remote working desk in one bedroom, and a great dinning room table also for remote working. Both bedrooms have enough space for a yoga practice or meditation practice.

I listed my home on VBRO mid-June for the first time, so there are no reviews yet. But I've been hosting guests in my home on other platforms. This home has had 10 guests in the last year, and a 4.5 out of 5 stars rating. All 10 guests but two gave a 5 of 5 star rating. I've put a photo of the average of reviews in my listing photos, plus the actual text reviews of the last 5 reviews that were all 5 of 5 stars.

* Bedroom closets and bathroom drawers don't have any personal items, except Yours!

* This is a brand new listing on VBRO, but this home has five stars from last 7 of 9 guests on another platform

THE SPACE

Welcome to my home with an artsy, retreat like atmosphere in one of the best locations of Denver, two blocks from the largest park in Denver, a 7 minute drive to the center of downtown Denver, and a 5 minute walk to wonderful coffee shops and restaurants.

I've put so much love and healing energy into this space so that it is a place of nourishment, relaxation, love and beauty.

If you have a spiritual or meditation practice or perhaps want to write, work or rest, look no further.

If you just want to visit Denver to see the sites, visit family, or work from home or downtown Denver, my place is perfect.

Both bedrooms have a queen bed. One room has a desk for remote working, and the other room has an altar for meditation. Both rooms have enough floor space for your mediation or yoga practice.

It is street parking with no permit required. I always find a place to park within 1 - 2 houses from our door.

This home is a duplex, so you share one wall with the neighbors, but there are windows on three sides of my home for tons of beautiful light all day. You have your own small, private back yard that is separated by a fence with the neighboring duplex. You also share the private backyard with a basement studio renter, unless you choose to rent the basement studio as well. There is no backyard furniture though, as it was worn out this winter and I haven't replaced it yet.

The neighborhood is quiet and safe but also lively with young professionals and families out walking all the time. The duplex neighbors are generally quiet too. Sometimes I hear their music a little through the walls, or their music or talking in their backyard. They do smoke cannabis and that can sometimes be smelled in your backyard.

Please note that you will need to be respectful of sharing this building with my basement renter, and be respectful of your noise for them and our neighbors.

This is my actual home, but I will have the clothes closets in the bedrooms totally cleaned out for you, as well as a shelf for you in the kitchen, and a drawer for you in the bathroom. But please do not expect a hotel or sterile rental only for commercial purposes. This is a warm, artistic, and homey space that offers you a feeling of beauty and intimacy more than a hotel-like atmosphere. I love guests that treat me like they are my family staying in my home, and I love to treat guests like my family visiting my home. I do not like when guests treat me like hotel staff, cold and transactional.


IS THIS PLACE FOR YOU?

I am also a vacation rental guest regularly, and its never fun to arrive to your new home and realize all the negative things were left out of the listing.

Here are all the things that are potential downsides, so you have no surprises!

* There is a little dog that lives here and doesn't shed much. If you are allergic to dogs, this is not the place for you.

* I have no T.V.s in the house, so if you like watching media on a large screen, this is not the place for you.

* I have spiritual art from religions around the world. If you are triggered by spiritual objects or images, this is not a good fit for you.

* I do not have children and so the house is not child proofed for young children. There is not a possibility of putting up a child gate for stairs.

* This is a 1908 house, and while most things have been updated and replaced, including electrical, please manage expectations with an old house. There are not as many electrical outlets, but I've supplied extra power cords. There could be a repair issue. I will address it immediately if you let me know about it. The beauty of this old house, with higher than normal ceilings, and romantic charm should outweigh the potential inconvenience for guests that are a good fit for my home.

* There are no curtains on the windows in the house. If you like a lot of privacy, over a light-filled space, this is not the home for you.

* Both queen beds in both bedrooms do not have bed frames. One is a queen mattress on the floor (room with air conditioner unit in summer), and one is a queen mattress and boxspring on the floor. As shown in pictures.

* There is one powerful air conditioner unit in the bedroom (the one with the altar and the mattress on the floor) during the summer months. The rest of my home does not have air conditioning, but I provide multiple room fans, and every bedroom, plus the living room and upstairs hallway, has a ceiling fan.

* During the winter, the heat is great. However, in Colorado we have mice that come in during the cold. I have done significant things to reduce all their points of entry, but on occasion you might see a mouse. Please don't book my home if seeing a mouse would ruin your stay in my home. I want you to have the best experience!

* There is an enclosed back porch off the back kitchen and upstairs off the bedroom with a white bedspread. A structural engineer could not guarantee the safety of the enclosed porch on upper floor. Please do not go on enclosed porch. You can access backyard through the side gate on the north-side of the house.

* The backyard furniture was worn out with our winter, so there is no backyard furniture right now.

The main house of this listing is private for you 100%, but the backyard is shared with the basement studio renter.

This is my home where I've cultivated a healthy, grounded, sacred, compassionate, and loving energy. Please do not book this listing if you don't agree with these house policies as they are here to help all guests have a beautiful place to call home in Denver.

* Please DO dance and sing and make music and pray and rest and make art and write and meditate and do yoga and tai chi etc.. :)
* Please DO work on your special life's work... a book, a film, a business, etc.
* Please DO connect deeply and have fun with the people you might be traveling with.

Please DO NOT:

* Please do not wear shoes in the house please.

* No candles or fire, ever.

* Do not drink alcohol, smoke cannabis or tobacco, or use psychotropic or psychoactive plants on the property. The "property" includes the home you are booking, as well as the front, side and back yards of the entire duplex property. Please walk off the property to smoke (regular or e-cigarettes).

* Do not have a party or event here.

* Do not have strangers here that you just met.

* Do not have pets here. (But there is a super tiny dog (3 pounds!) that lives here, so this place isn't for you if you have any dog allergies.)

* Please do not go on the back enclosed porch. You'll access the backyard through the outside side gate.

* Please clean up any water or liquid spills that could damage my hardwood floors.

* Let me know of anything that needs repair or breaks.

* No loud music or violent music. The energy here has been carefully cultivated with healing and uplifting sounds, so that you can have a truly beautiful energy during your stay here.

* Please do not leave food or dirty dishes on the kitchen counter or around the house; and remove your trash on a regular basis. Because the house is old and romantic, you can attract mice.

* Please communicate with me in a warm and respectful way, as I will do with you. :) Anything I can do to make your stay 5 stars, I will and I love guests that want to give me a wonderful experience of sharing my home too.


Although I’ve tried to manage expectations here, please know this space is truly lovely. Everyone that walks in says “Wow. It’s so beautiful here!" I’ve put an enormous amount of attention into making it a place of love, beauty, relaxation, functionality, and with a mix of luxury and quirky artistry both.
